So yeah! Last night I was able to watch WICKED!! I’m still gushing about it right now. Every excitement and happiness last night beat my headache in an instant. Tho I really had a tough time getting a cab to take me home coz my battery is dead. Damn I still had that silly smile. And yes, I’m alone. I survived watching a musical (my first to be honest) alone and being alone doesn’t keep me from going. I don’t need to be with someone to enjoy such a great show! Be independent! Aye?
About the story. It’s really for people who found a friend in an expected person. Someone who they never thought would be their best friend. Also, it teaches people that what you hear ain’t always the right thing. You never know what the real story behind. They even showed that there’s a good reason why someone needs to be wicked. That everyone is born wicked but wickedness inside us is awakened by some circumstances in our life. That even when you do something good, there's always a consequence, or worse even a punishment. Just like one of the song sung by Elphaba: No good deed goes unpunished No act of charity goes unresented No good deed goes unpunished That’s my new creed My road of good intentions Led where such roads always lead No good deed Goes unpunished!
About the performers. Their Vocals are really impressive. Of course! They’re made to be one. But the goosebumps never left me until the last minute of the show. So plus the exciting plot, everything is perfect! I bet even the kids will enjoy it since it’s light and warm and mos of all, fun to watch. It’s just that I had an 8pm schedule that’s why maybe there are a lot of empty seats. And guess what, I occupy the entire row that I am in.
So that’s it! I really have a lot of things to say but there’s just no words to describe how happy I am last night!
