Who I Am Cover Page 1 Page 2 CAMEO CALL (Man this took me a while to make! Some of you may have seen the progress on here or my DA status posts.) Can anyone guess what James is doing?  The boy is called Mano, and appears later in the chapter. The chapter covers will ben this format. You can start guessing about Chapter 2, but the picture won't be revealed until it's released.  It's supposed to signify day and night, as each chapter is in the timespan of one or the other. CAMEO CALL!!!
Jessie, Meowth and I walk through the forest groaning. “So hungry,” Jessie whines.
“Hey look,” I say, finding a sign along the path we never followed. It said, Misty Oaks: half mile.
“There must be a town,” Meowth says.
“That means food!” I exclaim and smile at Jess.
“Let’s go!” Meowth takes off and we rush after him.
We slow as we reach the town, astounded by the sight of a glowing city instead. We walk past staring up at the colorful advertisements and decorations. I start to get a little uneasy at what they display. So, you guys voted on a comic. I decided to keep the original story text in the description, because there's some extra James' thoughts later on (that aren't thought-thought you put in a thought bubble). Anyway, the page took a long time! I worked all yesterday and finished it up today. I think I finally found how to draw Team Rocket in my own style. I used no references and I think they look the best I've ever drawn! (Including Meowth, who I could never get right.) They look cute, but still anime, if that makes sense. I also might change the style slightly for shading, and sketch on paper instead (since the sketch took a long time . . .). I do enjoy making backgrounds though. Anyway, I love how it turned out! I also need lots of cameos for the future (I'll post a journal).
I am hoping this comic will last longer than Don't Dwell on the Past. (Does anyone even remember that? I might finish the last two pages of chapter 1, then just post text and an illustration per chapter.) For one, I'm much better at Team Rocket, background, text, and pretty much all parts of comicing than I was then. And second, I love this story much better. And three, there is sooo much Rocketshipping and I'm looking forward to drawing Jessie in a Vulpix-dress.
