there are a dozen things athena could list as being more fun than chasing down a dog in the building for half an hour. especially a dog that hated her and purposely take off running every time he saw her. maybe - maybe - it wouldn’t have taken so long if she hadn’t stopped several times to contemplate if finding this dog would’ve been worth it. in the end, she called hunter and had him on the speaker to lure xue back into the apartment. athena technically had nowhere to go, yet, but she would be damned if she was going to stay in the apartment with a dog who was just going to give her the side eye. hence why she was in the elevator, leaning against the wall with her eyes closed. she let out a sigh as the elevator door opened. she could tell someone came into the elevator. she peeked through one eye, quickly realizing it was wyatt. she brought her two fingers together towards her forward as a solute before nodding her head and saying, “Bonjour.” she laughed at herself before closing her eyes and leaning her head back against the wall. ‘god, i need coffee’ she thought to herself. it was early and this was definitely that moment where she said what she was thinking out loud.
