MAN. i can For Sure see him trying to find out more about belos's human brother & the human brother's witch wife. he assumes both are dead because why else would belos have raised him, and luz is the only known human left in the isles...... but what if his mom had family?? if belos hated witches so much, would he have even told them what had happened?? or asked if they wanted hunter?? like how does he Know he doesn't have a witch family out there who would have taken him in, given the amount of lying that belos did??

i think luz would only get really panicky about this if hunter started finding the holes in the story. like, there wasn't a brother, or at least not a brother young enough to be hunter's father. there WAS his predecessor golden guard who might have been half-human, but he died way before hunter was born, he wasn't hunter's father either. the village that belos supposedly "found" hunter in has been burnt and buried for way longer than two decades. and on and on and on

Hey-yo! Yep, still alive! Yes, still writing! Loving Seal is inching forward at snail pace, but it’s moving! We’re at 21k for the month and let me tell you, I’m glad I decided to take it easy this time and only set a goal for 30k. :’) If I’d tried for my usual 50k I think I’d be in trouble lmao. This story been kicking my ass since day one but wowsers is it after me this Camp.

Been feeling pretty meh about my words overall this month (which I’ve been assured is dumb, and told they’re fine, but hey what are ya gonna do) but here’s a lil excerpt to reaffirm that hey, I do write! XD

Realizing I’d won her over, I winked. “Very good. I’ll be sure to set produce aside for you. Maybe I’ll start bringing the surplus along on my visits before I can’t travel anymore. Out of appreciation for how greatly helpful your remedy buns are to me.”

Nessie pursed her lips as I picked my bag up and nodded before heading for the door. “I can sometimes see why the others think you’re a witch,” she said softly, sputtering when I raised my eyebrows. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to—that’s not how I meant—”
