i just think tenten's story is so depressing like. she never succeeded at literally anything. never beat temari after getting humiliated at the chunin exams, never got to fulfill her dreams of being a medical ninja studying under tsunade, found a love of weapons and opened a weapons shop only for it to be failing and going obsolete (in a NINJA VILLAGE!), constantly outshone by her other two teammates and her sensei, never even had a family or kids, like, why. what is the narrative value in showing frankly one of the only kunoichi, whose motivation isn't centered around a boy who doesn't give two shits about her, consistently failing at every single thing in her life and growing up to be alone and isolated, to the point that she doesn't even know anything about her friends' kids like... god. she deserves a lot better.
