THIS. 🤎♂️♂️🏳️🌈 Reposted from @qlenear PRIDE. A deeper love. Loving yourself when you are Black and LGBTQ+ is not something simply had, allowed, nor widely supported. It’s quite the opposite. Learning to love yourself involves first unlearning to hate yourself; peeling away the calluses of judgment, opinion, stereotype, condemnation, the criminalization of being, the maligning of one’s capacity to love others, one’s self, and simply fear. For some it takes years to undo the self-hate and self-harm, and for some it remains an impossible and elusive dream outside of the scope of belief. To love yourself and to be unapologetically IN love with yourself as a Black LGBTQ+ person deserves the Olympic Gold, cause learning to take back that which has been stolen, plundered, and ransacked can be a Herculean feat. Give yourself some praise no matter where you are on this journey and give yourself some grace along the way. You deserve to be kind to yourself. #Staystrong #wholeness #wholeyou #strength #healing #emotionalhealth #begoodyoyourself #Pride #blacklgbtqlove #youarewonderfullymade https://www.instagram.com/p/CO_7hv-r7zl/?utm_medium=tumblr
