TURBULENCE (Turbulence #1)
PUBLICATION DETAILS: Published August 29th 2016
Fuck me recklessly
Kiss me harder.
Take me again and again...
He and I met under a cloud of clichés:
Boy meets girl. Boy charms girl. Boy fucks girl.
Our story was supposed to end right after the orgasms, right after we went our separate ways.
But then we saw each other again...
And neither of us could walk away.
Our rules were simple.
Our passion was scandalous.
Our hearts were supposed to be safe...
But when you find something so all-consuming--something so intoxicating and inescapable, you'll risk everything you've ever had, even if you're destined to crash and burn.
This is us.
This is our messed up love.
This is turbulence.
“This is hardly love.”
“Then it’s hardly lust.”
“Then we’ll just call it us.”
I just finished my sexiest read of the year (or at least one of my sexiest reads). This book is… scorching! (I can hear Jake’s scowl from here, ellipsis. I know.)
Turbulence is a forbidden love story between a Pilot, a senior captain, actually and a flight attendant. Aside from the fact that this book is hot, it’s also forbidden (yeah, we know), scandalous and… there’s a bit of a mystery in it as well.
This is my 1st Whitney G. book ever and I’m in love with her! I already added Reasonable Doubt, well, I have it for a while now and I’m even more excited to devour it! Yes, devour is the term. Whitney G.’s writing style is indeed amazing.
The characters were incredible as well. Her writing style is so effective and I was in fact annoyed with Jake’s attitude. He’s an asshole. A huge hot, handsome, sexy and hot (did I mention hot?) asshole! But I love him, even though he’s yeah, a-hole.
Gillian was absolutely adorable. There are times that she’s kind of annoying because of being persistent but I love her determination when it comes to love and to her career. I hate her family, btw.
The flow of the story was just right. Not too fast, not to slow and I was surprised with the plot twist. Didn’t see it coming. The ending, however, was kind of rushed? I don’t know. I felt like it was rushed and that’s why I immediately jumped into Turbulence 1.5. I’m now very happy!
All in all, 4/5 stars. Will definitely watch out for more Whitney G. books!
