Because it's still a soft opening, not all of our threads are up and functioning yet, namely Allegiance, Occupation, and Templates.

Thaddeus Greyholm is ambitious. He has great plans for his house, his family, the company that he and his sister banked everything on when they were trying to go legit (the Greyholm Group, now one of the leading property development companies in Callerand ~tbc, idk what i’m doing).

To be honest, under the slick smile that he gives to the press and to potential assets, he’s quite a cold fish. He turns on the charm like other people would turn on the television, but there’s always a part of him that remains detached. Calculating. You might consider him a friend and he’ll treat you like he thinks you’re great, but it’s the rare person indeed who manages to actually win him over.

Family, though, is paramount. Duty too, to an extent. Thaddeus will move heaven and earth for family. This is not to say that he would balk at using his sisters or brother as a pawn in his long game, but if it hurts them he’ll feel bad about it (but that won’t stop him). 

But if you threaten them, he’ll cut you.

Unfortunately, none of his contingency plans (and contingency plans on top of contingency plans) considered what he would do if Stephen Bray was deposed. Massive oversight, since the pull that being the King’s brother-in-law gave him is now more of a stigma; he’s caught up trying to make sure that they stay afloat, right now.

Also, he’s recently married a Bray, which has basically put him firmly in their camp. He and Verena get on fine… which is to say, he plays the loving husband in public, and mostly puts her out of his mind in private. He’s busy, and honestly not that interested in her beyond the advantages that marrying her brings him. They’re polite to each other, and they live in the same house. That’s about it.

What does he need? Business partners, political friendships. Rivals that he can snark at. Family, definitely (if someone were to take up Elinor they also get my undying love js). Perhaps a few (very few) old friends (?) from when he was in uni studying business and economics. Lovers is not impossible, but it’s tough. Thaddeus is homoromantic, and falls somewhere in the realm of grey-asexuality. Sex is political coinage to him.
