GARETH MERRITT fifty-one. peter dinklage.
Gareth Merritt- better known by his public name, Gaius Pollus- has dedicated his life to the Republic. As the eldest son of a family with strong ties to the Legion, public service was never a question of ‘if’, but rather of ‘how’. Fortunately perhaps, it was clear from an early age that while Gareth might never wear a Legionnaire’s uniform, the sharpness of his mind more than made up for his physical shortcomings.
Running first for Edile, then Magistrate, then finally a seat in the Senate just as he entered his fiftieth year, Gareth has become a notable figure in Republican politics, not just for his short stature, but for his determination to excel, efficiency, and an occasionally blistering temper. But despite a reputation for being unable to suffer fools, Gareth’s priority is, as it has ever been, to serve the people. As the Republic edges to the brink of an economic crisis, what better time is there to use the trust that has been placed in him to change the Republic for the better?
