‘Always nice to put a face with a name’. . The swooping heron came from the fire this morning… This guy from one of our videos that had a few shares last month . . Just crazy about how it turned out. We use a matte white glaze over the sculpted detail, knowing that the opacifier in this particular glaze formula will trap offgassing copper from neighboring pots in the kiln atmosphere… Which you can see on the wing toward the left of the screen. Can’t fake this stuff, The detail is so nice. . Swipe over to revisit the video of this piece being created in front of a group of school kids, they hung in there for the whole process… About 15 minutes or so. .
