There is so much to explore in Michigan for those that have the time to do so. A lot of people would scoff at the idea that Michigan is good for anything but boating. They would be wrong! Shipwreck museum at Whitefish Point. (Also where the Edmund Fitzgerald lays 17 miles off its shore.) The Soo Locks are the gateway to the Great Lakes and provide all manner of ships a way to access to Lake Superior. Mackinac Island is a personal favorite of mine! NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES ALLOWED ON THE ISLAND! You get around by foot, bike, or horse drawn carriage!
