As the storm progresses, the Ohio Valley, lower Great Lakes, and Appalachians will experience a transition from rain to snow showers tonight and into tomorrow morning. These snow showers may leave a light dusting of snow in these regions. Severe Weather: Severe storms will be confined to southeast Virginia through the eastern Carolina’s early today. Storms will produce damaging wind gusts and perhaps a tornado. The line of storms will go through eastern Maryland and southern NJ this afternoon. A secondary area of thunderstorms will develop across western PA in the dry slot this afternoon. Storms may produce hail and damaging wind gusts through central PA> Heavy Rains: Locally heavy rains will occur along the cold front today from the Northeast into the Southeast.
