These Dipped Buttercream Marbled Heart Cookies combine a buttery, marbled cookie with a creamy white chocolate dip and colorful sprinkles for a delectable treat. Ideal for fast and impressive cookie decorating.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour. teaspoon salt. Food coloring various colors. 1 cup buttercream frosting. 1 cup white chocolate chips. Sprinkles.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms. Divide the dough into smaller portions and add different food coloring to each portion. Knead until the colors are evenly distributed and the dough is marbled. Wrap the colored dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about -inch thickness. Using heart-shaped cookie cutters, cut out heart shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted. Dip half of each heart cookie into the melted white chocolate and place them on a parchment-lined tray. Decorate the chocolate-dipped portion with sprinkles. Allow the chocolate to set and the decorations to firm up before serving.
