What is kuchay dumpling? 🥟 The Japanese famous gyoza's Chinese counterpart 😅 but don't quote me on that 😁 Finicky eater here remember 🙋🏻‍♀️ So it really took some time for me to like gyoza (thank you ramen bar restos) and now I succumbed to my friend's kuchay dumpling recipe - yes we ordered her homemade kuchay dumpling recipe and had it for a quick dinner... Backstory: one of my friends would regularly come up with "selfie themes" (one example the last time was photos of us planking with some twist) for us - our e-numan barkada, so the most recent theme is to find your "tulala spot" 😳 That one place or spot where you just end up stopping, dead on your tracks staring or dumbfounded or unaware even that you stopped 😅 because of one reason or other, might be because it is a comfy spot or you just end up catching a breather... During the first extension of the ECQ in our area, most of the casual dining restaurants started offering easy to make/ready to cook/take home kits of their popular dishes once delivery service bcame feasible. One of the restos I was keeping an eye out for was @mendokoro_ramenba because for some insane reason I am the only one in this household who likes or craves ramen from time to time ever since I got hooked on their #TanTanMen ramen after that first time at their Makati branch. And so while thinking of what to order for "our delivery food weekends" 🤣 I checked their FB page again and tried ordering online despite their disclaimer of delays due to lots of orders 😁 One thing I would like to commend is their online and text correspondence, I did not expect a quick response to my online order the next day 👍 so after requesting for a different delivery schedule, it finally arrived today and we were more than eager to try out their "ramen take home kit" - thanks to my sis for cooking it 👍 Bottomline... There are certain things that is better eaten and experieced at a dine in restaurant and ramen is one of them - I remember their disclaimer about not offering take out food on their menus before - but what the heck!
