the sidelining of robin and vickie's romance, choosing to not give them development in favor of jumping to them being in a relationship, would be a severely baffling decision to make in the face of not then giving will a romance arc.
your sole gay main character is also the only one who has never had a relationship, never kissed anyone, and has been in a painful unrequited love with his taken best friend for years, and not only are you not giving him a romance arc, but you also decided not to give your only lesbian (side) character a proper romance arc either. vs. all of your straight characters getting at least one romance arc.
it's just like, here, we'll throw you a couple queer scraps, and youll be grateful for it. why would you expect anything more than a rushed forced gay coming out scene and a couple lesbian hand holding scenes. this isnt one of your gay shows. you shouldnt expect more.
like actually baffling if this is the real direction theyre taking. absolutely frustrating. id have rathered they cut this shit in s4 instead of dragging it out like this. i am still holding my breath, because its not over til its over, but its still such a frustrating way to go about this.
