First story I thought of I think I may have told before, SO I'll tell this shorter but also funny one instead.
When I was around 6 or 7 my parents suspected I may have autism, and so went to a clinic to get me diagnosed. The woman at the desk leaned over to look at me and then asked me to tell her my name. When I did, she said I couldn't possibly have autism because I'd managed to look at her and say my name, and then refused to let us go any further. This is, of course, not looking at the fact that beforehand my parents had told me that the people there were going to ask me questions, and so I had to be polite and answer them (not what you're supposed to tell your kid but in all fairness we all knew very little about autism at the time).
Anyways, many years pass, both my brother and then my mother get diagnosed with autism and ADHD, and since I was looking into getting HRT, I had to go get tested as well. Different clinic, different people this time. I ended up getting diagnosed with autism, sadly not also ADHD on account of the fact that one of the people we were using to report evidence did not actually know me enough to give a conclusive answer. But I did get an autism diagnosis.
Afterwards the doctor told me that for some patients, she could instantly figure out that they were autistic when they walked into the room and for others, they'd go through the whole multi-hour process and it still wouldn't be clear. And for me? She said she figured out that I was autistic in about ten minutes đź’€
