So, I’m single.  Woo!

Now what???

I’m not in college anymore, I don’t really think going to a bar is how you’re supposed to meet men, and the one guy I’d actually be interested in lives in a different state multiple hours away...  

So how do you meet men when you aren’t constantly being thrown into situations with new ones on a daily basis?!?

Now lets get this straight I am NOT interested in dating just yet but I realized today that I have no idea how to go about it once I am ready again!  Isn’t that hilarious?!

I have friends who have had very good luck with OkCupid, which if you don’t know if a free online dating service.  Other than that though I have friends who go to bars for bad hookups, others meet people through their work, but I walk dogs all day, not really the best place to meet men, and play in big bands, typically with men many times my age.  I know there are some other options but I’m sort of at a loss! 

When I do start dating again I would like to stick to some casual dating for a while and take things slower and see who is a better fit with me and who isn’t, you know, the type of dating our parents did!  But is this a thing people in their 20′s can do in 2015?  And is it OK to want to date someone who is really good looking AND fun to hang with?  I’m discovering I have developed some specific preferences I would like in a man, despite being in a relationship with one, who had some, but definitely not nearly enough, of said traits that I would like in my man.

Well aside from trying out this online dating thing I think I’d better start thinking about joining a group/class that revolves around something I’m interested in where I MAY meet a cool guy.  And I’ve also decided to continue furthering my friendship with my man interest in a different state, I’ve got no idea if he’s interested in me too but there’s no reason we can’t be friends and continue getting to know each-other! ...right?....
