“hey, there. how are you, tough girl?”                      long fingers wrapped securely around beth’s jawline. ripley’s head tilted, examining the younger woman. dark eyes were serene, yet the lines in ripley’s face screamed worry. she leaned on the balls of her feet, one leg poised on the left side of beth, the other knee on the right side of beth. getting closer to the woman without touching her —- that is until beth woke up. when dark eyes could find blue eyes, ripley smiled. just a curle of the corner of her lips, but it was there. the survivor’s head leaned down, lips pressing at the corner of beth’s mouth. a sigh lingering. ripley just bobbed her head, raising it again, dark eyes scanning the room before she stood up and held out here hand.                  “come on. let’s get out of here without anymore injuries, alright?”
