“Why should I call you eonni, since when did you become my eonni,” Yeri scoffed as she rolled her eyes at you.
“You don’t, but yah also doesnt cut it when you’re speaking to someone older than you,” you replied, attempting to maintain your cool.
Yeri was picking a fight with you again, and you knew it was because she was jealous that you were dating Baekhyun. Jealous, and just outraged that he would choose someone with such common appearances over all the flowers of SM. Namely Yeri herself.
“Seriously, to go from Taeyeon eonni to this, oppa must have had some significant trauma. Did you seduce him when you were giving him treatment or something,” she continued.
“I don’t care what you think Yeri, but I will not have you question my professionalism.”
“Pft “professionalism”, oh look at me I’m a doctor I’m so smart everyone look at me,“ she jeered.
“Yeri-ah, it’s time to stop - ” Jongmyun tried, wary that Baekhyun’s solo stage was about to finish and that the younger male would be back any minute now.
“Seriously oppa! How could you let this happen, aren’t you the leader of this group, how could you let your members get dragged so low, she probably uses him to improve her business -”
“Because you make a living with your skills Yeri,” you snap, unable to control your sleep deprived self. “Because I’m sure if you didn’t spend the 3h every morning getting dolled up, and if you stopped wearing your non-existent skirts, your ahjussi fans may not be so eager to watch you lip sync all day.”
"Yah!” Yeri glared, and raised her arm to strike you across the cheek. “What makes you think you can talk to me like that you ugly bitch!”
“What are up doing Yeri!” Junmyeon screams, his eyes wide as he starts pacing back over towards you two. But not before you retaliate, your pride working faster than your mind, as you return the slap onto the young girl’s beautifully made up face.
"What are you doing.” The room goes quiet as Baekhyun walks in, his expression unreadable. You turn to face the source of the voice, to see your boyfriend of one year, Baekhyun, looking hard at you.
“Why would you hit her,” he starts, as he walks over, separating the pair of you.
“Oppa, I must have upset eonni accidentally, it’s all my fault…” Yeri sobs, managing to roll a few tears out in the process.
He examines her face, his brows knitting tighter as he notes the swelling that has started to form. Too tired to argue, you quickly take your bag from the nearby dressing chair and make for the door. He grabs your wrist as you start to leave.
“Can everyone else please leave the room for a moment, we need to have a little talk.”
“Baek, this isn’t…” Junmyeon starts.
“You too hyung, please.”
“Baek…”
“Out. Please hyung.”
With that, Junmyeon and the rest of the staff that had been waiting in the dressing room leave, the door shutting with a soft click.
“What were you doing, no matter what she said you shouldn’t have hit her,” Baekhyun starts, his tone initially frustrated then softening as he sees your upset expression.
“Oppa, eonni -” Yeri interjects.
“It’s okay Yeri just let eonni talk.”
You turn back to face the pair, working hard to suppress the rage that was brewing inside you as you watched Yeri play the good girl.
“I have nothing to say,” you respond simply.
“Y/n…” Baekhyun starts. Seeing your resolved expression, he frustratedly runs his hand through his hair as he lets out an exasperated sigh.
“Apologise,” he says simply. You look at him, your eyes wide and accusing.
“No.”
“Apologise now.”
Scoffing, you turn and roll your eyes, motioning towards the door once again. Except Baekhyun was still holding onto your wrist, and was not about to let you walk away from this.
“I said, apologise to her!” Baekhyun was visibly upset now, his expression harsh as he speaks to you, his voice lower in tone and resembling a growl. Unwilling to stay in this situation, you give in to his demand.
"I'm sorry," you state, clear and curt while staring at Baekhyun, not once looking at Yeri.
"To Yeri, not to me."
"Sorry," you say again, turning to face Yeri. His grip on your wrist loosens at this, and you turn back to face him. "Happy?" You ask, your voice devoid of emotion as you turn to walk out, not waiting for a response.
