david lived long enough , seen enough , that a familiar face rarely shocked him. sometimes , features even blurred. people began to look the same. ( was that a side effect of how many years he once lived ? or the fact that for a majority of those years he was simply looking for his next meal ? ) the face he looked at now , well , that was one he couldn't forget. it wasn't the first time he noticed him , or someone like him , but it'd be a while since david had any fun. “ hey there , beautiful , ” his approach casual , albeit abrupt as if he came out of the shadows. “ little dangerous to be out this late , don't you think ? ”

sitting still wasn't exactly something zephyr was accustomed to , so it was only natural that he found himself on a run when he had nothing else to do. he didn't know how long he'd been running , time or distance , when he stopped in a shaded spot. he took off the thin t - shirt he wore , if only for a moment. ( he told himself he wasn't actually hot , but the fabric sticking to his skin was hindering his technique somehow. ) he was checking his pulse when he sensed someone's gaze on him. he looked up with a smirk. “ don't report me for public indecency now … ”
