“ oh you've got to be fucking kidding me , ” nolan spat , shaking his head in disbelief. just when he was getting settled in dc , finally falling into a new routine that he deemed normal enough , his life had to implode. it was just his luck , he supposed. nolan scoffed , bitterness immediately flooding him. andrew was the last person he wanted to see. of course he was there. “ i knew this place was too good to be true. ”

it took him a moment to register the fact that he was the one being addressed. he glanced at the woman , blinking a few times. he wasn't sure what gave the impression that he was remotely qualified to be giving opinions on fashion. he didn't know the first thing about it , and he doubted he'd ever actually care to learn , either. michael lived in the comfort of plain t-shirts and leather jackets. they were safe , and looked good on most occassions. he was probably the last person she should've been looking for opinions or approval from. he could at least give compliments , so he hoped that was the only thing she was seeking. he glanced her over , nodding approvingly. “ oh , yeah. i mean ... i think you look really beautiful. the dress looks great on you. you look ... what was that word you used ? fabulous ? ”

the title given to him from his father didn't feel like much to harry but the jobs he was given, the responsibility he had he took seriously. which included hosting networking events of which he had to find spaces for. which lead to a lot of him staking out spaces to see if they fit what he's looking for. he sits and orders a drink at the bar his eyes then scanning the area.

cj smirked as she saw the look on the other's face. they figured the night would carry on as it always did in dc. but it seemed tonight the fates had brought a little fun into her bar. her hook clearly getting a reaction from the other. she slides it across the table in front of him. "what's the matter? scared i'll hook ya?"
