                                            here’s the story of some eggo lovers,

                       four of which were named STEVE, MIKE, NANCY, and HOP.

                                     they met some others who also loved eggos,

                          whose names were KAREN, JOYCE, SARA, and EL.

                                 and they knew that it was much more than a hunch,

                                       that this group must somehow form a family,

      " mrs. wheeler, hi. "   it was NOT who he wanted to answer the door. steve was hoping it either be mike or even nancy, who he had come to see, but fate had other plans. there was sort of a defeated look on his face as he looks to the woman, trying to smile but instead offering a grimace. in his hands is some of NANCY'S THINGS, the last little piece he had of her.   " i just, um, wanted to drop this stuff off. "

Nancy didn’t mean to wake anyone, she really didn’t. She’d been working so hard to keep quiet through the night. The nights she snuck out to go looking in the woods (she still wasn’t sure what for.) The nights when she couldn’t sleep at all and puttered around her room and the house, cleaning away any sign of her former best friend, and after that, the young girl who’d lived there in secret for a week, save the fort in the basement. The nights when the nightmares got too big and too loud. She always tried to turn over as soon as she realized she was asleep, smother her screams. She hadn’t done a good enough job that night.
