Cassian feels something odd and heavy and unfamiliar flood through him just then when he looks at Jyn. Obligation.

He’d almost forgotten that he’s a captain of Intelligence, in service to an armed insurgency against an unfathomable enemy. The imperfect and uncaring galaxy is seeping in, now, darkening the halo of light they’d languished in while the war had raged on without them. And there’s nothing they can possibly do about it.

Fear and dread frost over his nerves. Something like grief weighs behind his eyes. He realizes, to his peril, that he has grossly miscalculated: he’s fallen for a woman who is more liable to deck him than to follow orders. This woman who he wants to fight him. To gnash her teeth and steel her spine and haul him from the cliff’s edge.

But, sometimes, Cassian Andor has to be a fucking asshole. A goddamned captain of Rebel Intelligence. For the sake of the mission. For the sake of both of their lives.

And there’s far too many for them to fight on their own. Not unless they both wanted to end up dead. Or worse— sold to the highest bidder.

The Runners know him. They would want revenge. They would want his head. He has to make sure that he makes himself as tempting as possible. So much so that Jyn seems to be barely more than a distraction.

A RainWing and SandWing sunbathing together at high noon on a mossy rock. The RainWing conks out immediately but the SandWing is just happy to watch their friend/partner/etc sleep

Dragons of any other tribe learning aquatic or RainWing emotion colors to understand their friend/partner better. Bonus of: RainWing and SeaWing pair who work out a way for the RainWing to speak aquatic back by having them turn all their scales deep blue/green and then the aquatic flashes be spots of the brightest yellow they can manage. Also because of how color changing works in their scales (the way the books describe it, a RainWing doesn’t disappear all at once. You can still see them for a moment, even it’s just their outline, and then they’re gone) I think any RainWing that ‘speaks’ aquatic has something like a dialect of the language. Specifically one that some Seawings can find torturously slow/drawn out. (This also happens in humans! U.S. southerners are generally known to just speak slower than other parts of the country. Yes that does mean I’m implying Rainwings have a southern drawl in aquatic)

A Nightwing with friends/partners who have all learned the signs of an oncoming vision. Their Nightwing says a headache has been bugging them for hours and they’re all on high alert for the rest of the day, waiting to catch a dragon that suddenly grips their head and starts speaking in riddles.

Seawing/IceWing snuggles! I don’t think this is ever specified in canon but I have seen several headcanons about the idea that because of how deep they dive, it would make sense for SeaWings to have a layer of blubber under their scales like whales, seals, etc. which means an Icewing’s naturally cold body wouldn’t bug them in the slightest! There is also probably something to be said about other dragons huddling around their Icewing friends/partners especially during summer months to get some relief from the heat.

A Seawing being skeptical about how much their Mudwing friend enjoys mud baths but their friend is insistent about it being awesome and they finally try it and they actually end up loving it. It’s like water surrounding them but warmer and heavier and they end up just hanging out and talking in mud pools together.

A RainWing/SandWing/HiveWing scientist throuple experimenting with and researching the differences/similarities of their venom. Maybe even making medicine! Or just antivenom!

A Silkwing and a Leafwing using their silk and leafspeak to weave together super duper strong shelters/tarps/etc.

A Silkwing and Sandwing comparing weaving/tapestry techniques and making something with both their respective mediums that uses the different textures to amazing effect. Think something like the silk being used for light on a rippling sea while the rest is deep blue cotton or sable yarn so when you turn it in the light it really does shimmer
