As the bar will remain officially open while we FULLY roam uninhibited, tonight's elixir is this beer from one of my favorite breweries purchased at @RalphsGrocery: Golden Road Brewing Co. "Palisades Pineapple American Wheat Ale" 4.8% ABV - hazy amber color, apricot citrus pineapple tropical fruit aroma, low body, apricot pineapple sweet flavor, clean finish, and a lovely tropical fruit mild tart aftertaste. Paired with random leftovers as we attempt to empty the refrigerator. Drank and dined while watching the TV series "America's Hidden Stories Season 1" streaming on @ParamountPlus. Low-Calorie, low alcohol craft brews that retain some character are all the rage. This delicate and citrusy wheat ale from Great Lakes Brewing has summer written all over it. Personally, this style is lacking for me. It’s tough to fit very much flavor into a low-calorie package. But there’s a time and place for every kind of beer and there’s certainly a market for these “crush-worthy” easy drinkers. Cheers!
