(An ode to T.I.'s "We Will Not") We will not stop 'Til all our work here is done No it will not be easy And it will not be fun But my people we've got to do better It's not enough anymore Just to be sayin' "whatever" Get up from your cheese and your wine When it's your life on the line When your the one behind enemy lines Everything is then no longer fine You say Lord, "Please give me Some peace of mind." Then when you feel like He's movin' Too slow, you give Him A piece of your mind at the drop of a dime No no no, that is not fine Meanwhile we're takin in What the media's feedin' us Little do we know why The police have been able to Get away with mistreatin' us Peaceful assemblies Turn into violence 'Got sellouts like Don King Who are stupid and wilin' Donald Trump is sittin pretty & trippin' Don't know what kind of kool-aid He's been sippin' Maaaan we got too many issues It's crazy in these streets We got too many people Sellin their souls For a fake American dream 'Got too many men on the corners Of the streets Sellin nickel and dime bags And too many o.z.'s of the weed When the crooked powder Came from Nicaragua All you would see was the keys Greedy politicians didn't want to unite us They wanted to kill us and separate us And feed the pockets of Crooked cops and legislators But hope for a bright future Is what motivates us What's the point of our plight If we go down without a fight? If we don't stand up And get our boys to man up We'll have more trouble And more people down in the rubble We gotta change our whole system Cause right now There's not enough victors But too many victims Where there was once peace Now it is missin' Only the Lord can Provide what we need So we can make it No need to steal from our fellow man Just keep it real There's no need to fake it Some ask me what's goin' on This is why I made this We need to pray for all the cities Impacted by the nonsense we see And do our part to help Everyone that we can reach We will not stop Til the hard work is done It will not be easy And it will not be fun But we've gotta fight To see the light Til we see us unified And we are truly truly one.
