A post card from 1942 showing the main gate to Baby Gruenwaldâs sprawling studio ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains, soon to be destroyed by Japanese âfire balloonsâ (also known as âballoon bombs,â or âFu-Goâ in Japanese).
Though only three hydrogen-filled balloon bombs touched down on the ranch on that fateful night in August, each carried a 12-kilogram (26 lb) incendiary device, and, aided by merciless Santa Ana winds, took a terrible toll.
Destroyed were facades and sound stages used in such iconic Baby Gruenwald westerns as Wyatt Burp (1940), The Affordable Childcare Searchers (1940), Surprisingly Young Guns (1941), Billy the Kid⌠Literally (1941), Rolls Around on the Carpet With Playful Wolves (1942), and Rivulet Bravo (1942).
Westers and Zethan story
Ethan W. (Winters) once had a relationship with Wesker back in 1998, but Spencer ordered Ethan to be killed. Wesker secretly saved him and hid him away, placing him in a capsule in suspended sleep for many years.
When Ethan finally woke up in somewhere 2005, he had lost all memories of his past and no longer remembered who he was more than his name and his family surname.
He eventually became the Ethan Winters, meeting and falling in love with Mia, all while Wesker watched from afar in silent.
In the end, Wesker gave up and moved on to his god plan before ultimately being killed in 2009.
However, after Ethan was believed to have died in 2021, sacrificing himself for Chris in the explosion, he was actually rescued by Xeno, an executive of Red Umbrella.
Xenoâs appearance strongly resembled Weskerâs, and seeing him caused Ethanâs buried memories to return.
In truth, Xeno was a clone of Wesker, assigned to observe events under orders from The Connections. He did not know what Ethan truly was, yet he felt that Ethan was somehow special. Even without Weskerâs memories, he felt an inexplicable connectionâ
as if Ethan were the person he had been waiting for all along.

MY REVIEW
When you think about it, the title and cover are perfect for the subject matter, the origin of the chupacabra. I love MIchael Heblerâs explanation of how and why the chupacabra came to be.
Jeremiah Whitingâs story ticked me off.
The Civil War caused some heinous acts to be perpetrated. A truly evil being wants to bring death and destruction to the world and will do whatever is necessary to ,ale it happen.
And then I met the American Indian, Yuma.
Michael Hebler has no trouble skewing even a good guy to the bad side, maybe even killing them off.
The details and descriptions are so deep, visualization is a snap, the surroundings coming to life.
Want to know what angers the spiritsâŚyou need to read Dawn of the Chupacabra yourself. LOL
Well, Michael, it has been quite the ride. The highs and lows kept me wrapped up in the characters, grieving for them when they passed, reveling with them when something good happens, and I can hardly wait to find another âfamilyâ from you to hook up with.
5 Stars

City Slickers
My grandmother raised me to be a cowboy.
Each morning, amidst the sirens and the swampy Chesapeake Bay air in south Baltimore, Audrey Hall ensured that this city kid would grow up longing for the great southwestâŚ.
Too many mornings I spent watching reruns of Rawhide and the Roy Rogers showâŚ
The last time Iâd been horseback riding was maybe when I was 12 in the Catskill mountains in upstate NY.âŚ
