Zeno is actually quite impressionable. He picked up the habit of smoking by observing actors in films. Similarly, he will also begin to use phrases that you use.

“I believe the term is…we’re cooked.”

Zeno’s favourite film is Shutter Island by Martin Scorsese.

Zeno has taken you on trips to 16 different countries so far. He doesn’t collect souvenirs - but rather receipts, train tickets from an exceptionally beautiful place, a cafe napkin with your lipstick stain…

Zeno doesn’t get embarrassed easily, but he folds when he’s caught being sentimental.

Zeno is a jack of all trades, master of none. He can do a hundred different things, but cannot wrap a present to save his life. Additionally, he secretly loves being taught things; especially ones that people consider obvious.

He has strong opinions about pens and pencils, and nobody knows why. “The weight is insufficient for an ideal grip.”

Cats are attracted to him. Zeno will absolutely stop to pet a cat and claim he is examining its behaviour. He also knows the names of all local stray cats.

Zeno feels physically ill when he has to throw something handwritten away - whether it be notes, recipes, or cards.

Zeno loves his cars - but specifically his Audi RS7. Insists its “stock”. It is not stock. The exhaust is tuned to produce a low, controlled growl. The suspension is adjusted for long-distance driving. The engine has definitely been tuned but he refuses to talk about it. He has created custom drive modes: Normal, Sport, Dynamic, “Road trip”. The last one exists solely because you once complained the suspension was too stiff. You are also the only other person who drives his car.

He drives with one hand on the wheel most of the time. Effortlessly. The car responds immediately because every setting has been adjusted to his preferences. And yours, because he has a whole other driver profile set up for you.

Zeno has a note in his phone titled ‘Questions’. It’s just random things he’s observed about people but hasn’t figured out or asked you about yet.

Zeno is quite adept at poker, and has an excellent poker face. He notices changes in behaviour when you see nothing at all. You always bring him along to a game night with friends when you feel like winning.

You both love to drive. He prefers to drive the scenic route when you don’t have anywhere to be.

Zeno measures time by people, not events. “Remember last summer when-“
