So you're saying that amusement is more important than black lives and police brutality? Maybe its not the right place or time, but neither was it for the people who died and will die and not get any justice after they're gone.
tell me, what will stopping the parade accomplish? how will it decrease the murder of black children and police brutality? That parade had literally nothing to do with ferguson. also, attempting to stop the parade will put thousands of innocent children at risk. despite the intention being a peaceful protest, the NYPD is known for police brutality and there is a chance they will get violent. if this happens, the hundreds of thousands of people attending the parade are likely to be hit in the crossfire of the police. when i made my first posts about this, i did not think very far in to the extent of what could happen and was mainly confused as to why they would want to take others fun, but now my main concern is the lives of the people that are trying to watch the parade in person. this happens to include people of all races, if that makes you feel better
