Wednesday: Allow me to prepare

Enid Wolf follows her to bed

Wednesday removes the top blanket and lays out a number of restraining straps, then lays the blanket over top and looks to Enid Wolf

Enid Wolf leaps into the bed and centers herself on the blanket then lies down flat

Wednesday wraps the blanket around her then carefully paying attention to Enid she pulls the straps tight but not uncomfortably so, when complete with some effort she rolls Enid Wolf onto her side

Wednesday: I am going to get into something more comfortable, do not fear I'm not leaving

Enid Wolf: *licks her chops self soothing and closes her eyes*

Wednesday changes into pajamas then gets into a straight jacket

Wednesday: Thing if you could?

Thing breaks the suspension of disbelief and secures the straight jacket

Wednesday: Thank you, you may retire for the evening

Thing: *gives a thumbs up and scuttles off*

Wednesday hops back to bed then in a practiced motion she falls back into the bed and rolls up next to Enid Wolf, the thunder crashes again

Enid Wolf: *yelps and whimpers then begins shaking*

Wednesday: Shhh everything is okay I am here with you, close your eyes

Enid Wolf soothed by Wednesday's voice closes her eyes

Wednesday: Center yourself in your mind, we are back at Nevermore, it is a stormy night and you have been nervously pacing all evening, you have been chewing on your nails and dropping them on the floor so I may step on cutting my feet leading to a serious infection and eventual amputation

Enid Wolf: *opens her eyes and huffs in annoyance*

Wednesday: Apologies I will cease my editorializing, we are at Nevermore and I can see your discontent

Enid Wolf: *closes her eyes and let's out a breath*

Wednesday: Your pain is my pain so after working up the courage I invite you to lay down in my bed. You are of course overcome with emotions that I would sacrifice my personal space in such a gallant act

Enid Wolf: *small huff*

Wednesday: *sighs* you are no doubt suspicious of my motivations given how out of character this gesture is. But upon the next clap of thunder you jump into without hesitation

Enid Wolf: *tries to stifle a yawn*

Wednesday: For awhile we simply lie next to each other under the blankets but as you continue to shake at the sounds of the storm I move next to you and place an arm around you

Enid Wolf: *let's out a contented chuff*

Wednesday: I wrap my arms around you and hold you so that you know you are safe and the storm cannot harm you, do you feel me holding you?

Enid Wolf: *chuffs again yawning deeply*

Wednesday: We lie together for as long as you need to know I will not leave you, you will not spend another night alone in a storm again

Wednesday feels Enid Wolf's wet nose brush her cheek and can feel the wolfs breaths begin to settle as she falls asleep

Wednesday: *quietly to herself* Soon enough you will return to yourself and you will be able to extend me the same comfort
