2016 was a high water mark for the Lake Forest Concours.  It was a rainy morning, and a heavy little rain storm came through in the middle of the show, which only made for some awesome picture opportunities.  All of this, and then there were the cars... This show brought out one of the most diverse groups of rare cars that has likely ever been assembled outside of a highly organized event.  This isn’t a big show where individuals and their cars were invited to attend, it wasn’t a charity show where people came out to support a cause, and it wasn’t something like the Ghost Squadron experience happening in Southern California - a group of collectors showcasing their pieces for paying guests.  This was just an annual Concours held by a local exotic dealer that was open to all.  There are a few cars that were brought in for the show, but those cars are still in the care of the dealer to this day, some 5 years later.

To start off this milestone event, we have a Guards Red 918 Spyder (1 of 918 built) Weissach, owned by a prominent Chicago area collector who loves to take his cars out.
