I have an aroace character in my object show (Book) and seeing how fandoms treat aroace characters makes me want him to randomly look at the camera and say āIām disgusted by the idea of being in a romantic or sexual relationship with someoneā in the middle of an chapter, and then the chapter continues like normal after that. I also want to put an aroace sticker on him, it was in one of his earlier designs but I kept forgetting it so I just took it off. But even if I did both of those people would try to find some subtext that makes him not as disgusted by non-platonic relationships and just make him ābrokenā like they view all aroace people
He doesnāt want a relationship. He feels no attraction. He likes seeing other people in a relationship because it makes them happy and he likes to play matchmaker, but itās not for him. I donāt want to see him shipped with other characters, also partially because heās a minor and the cast is mainly adults with like 3 minors total outside of flashbacks.
Yes, aroace people can be in relationships, aroace is a spectrum and isnāt just āI feel 0 attraction whatsoever and want to vomit at any relationship I seeā, but not all aroace people want to be in relationships or feel attraction. He doesnāt want to be in a relationship. Also this:
