Looking for anime recs, I love fma 2003 and fma brotherhood Naruto and Tokyo ghoul I’m looking for a really good show that’s comparable I like dark anime but not overly dark I do like shinier anime I also enjoy horror anime but anime’s where the monster is intelligent and not just a monster, I like big conspiracies like in fma those kind of things. I wanna watch neon genesis but I’m scared it will trigger my depression but it looks good I’m on hunter x hunter 2011 on episode3 hoping it getsgoo

Keep at it with Hunter x Hunter. Admittedly it took a bit for me to get into it but then I really enjoyed it. I believe it meets what you’re seeking as well. I also recommend Psycho-Pass for the criteria you mentioned.

For me, confronting difficult topics like depression in stories is cathartic, so Neon Genesis Evangelion really resonated with me in a positive way. I’m not sure how you’d take it, but I personally love it.

I mean, I can’t say that I think it’s impossible, mainly because I can’t really be 100% sure of anything. Especially after I was proven horribly wrong about TLJ on multiple fronts. But I do think it’s unlikely tbh. I really think that if she was meant to be a Skywalker, it would have been revealed in TLJ. While Luke was still alive.

Plus, one of the reasons I loved ReySky is because I liked the idea of watching Luke and Rey developing a father-daughter bond and having it be one of the focuses of the movie. Now that Luke is dead, that’s pretty impossible. If Rey Skywalker or Rey Solo somehow happens at this point, it’ll be for shock value and shock value only. It would solve the future Skywalker problem for me but it wouldn’t be nearly as satisfying.

And, as much as I hate it, I think Disney’s aim is to completely get rid of the Skywalkers so they can use the Star Wars universe for generic stories. They’re probably more interested in satisfying people who are more into action and lightsaber fights than they are the generational story of the Skywalker family. Leia and Kylo will die in episode 9 and then that’ll be it for them. Meh.

That’s just how I feel, of course. People are allowed to believe what they want. I’ll watch episode 9 for Finnrey because I love them but after that, i’ll probably be done with Disney’s Star Wars.
