Junseo
You hadnât expected him back so soon, so when Junseo quietly unlocked the door, the last thing he thought heâd find was you sprawled across the bed, hand buried between your thighs, breath uneven and lips parted.
He froze in the doorway for just a secondânot because he was embarrassed, but because the sight of you like that knocked the air right out of him. His head tilted slightly, eyes narrowing with a mix of curiosity and hunger as he stepped inside.
âReally?â His voice was low, a little teasing. âYou couldnât wait for me?â
Your whole body went hot, scrambling to pull the blanket up, but Junseo didnât let you hide. He came closer, pulling the cover back with an easy confidence. His gaze stayed locked on you, not flustered, not fumblingâjust steady, like he wanted to memorize every detail.
He sat down on the edge of the bed, one hand brushing your cheek before sliding to your jaw, holding you still so you couldnât shy away. âYou know you donât have to do this alone,â he murmured. His tone wasnât judgmentalâit was matter-of-fact, like he was stating something obvious.
Your heart was racing, expecting him to laugh or pull away, but instead he leaned down, pressing a slow kiss to your lips, letting you feel his calmness bleed into you. âNext time,â he said against your mouth, âcall me. I want to be the one to make you feel good.â
It wasnât shy or playfulâit was a quiet promise, and the way he held you afterward, thumb brushing over your skin, made the room feel soft again despite the heat still hanging between you.
Leo
You hadnât even heard the front door openâtoo lost in the rhythm of your own hand, soft moans spilling into the quiet of the room. By the time Leo leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, you were already flushed and needy, completely unaware of him watching.
A low chuckle broke the silence. âWow,â he drawled, his smirk sharp. âGuess I know what you do when Iâm not around.â
You jolted, nearly falling off the bed in shock. âLeoââ
But he was already striding over, snatching your wrist before you could pull away. His eyes sparkled with mischief, but underneath the teasing was heatâundeniable, hungry. âDonât stop now,â he whispered, pushing your hand back down. âI wanna see.â
Your face burned, but the way he hovered over you, lips brushing your ear, made resistance impossible. He kissed down your neck lazily, savoring your reaction. âGod, youâre cute when youâre desperate,â he murmured, voice dripping with amusement. âBut you shouldâve just told me you needed me this bad.â
His teasing didnât let up, but neither did his touchâhe wanted you flustered, wanted to remind you he could make you unravel faster than your own hand ever could. And when you finally gasped his name, he grinned against your skin, satisfied.
âNext time,â he said, brushing his thumb across your bottom lip, âdonât waste your energy. I like being the one who makes you fall apart.â
Jia Hao
The room was dim, your breaths shaky as you moved beneath the sheets, too caught up in chasing release to notice the door creak open. When Jiahao stepped inside, his eyes went wide, and he froze mid-step.
For a moment, he just staredâshock written across his face. But then, slowly, his lips curved into a smile, a mix of shy and intrigued.
âY/NâŠâ His voice was soft, but the way he said your name carried weight. âYou really couldnât wait for me?â
Your face burned as you scrambled to cover yourself, but Jiahao crossed the room quickly, sitting beside you. Instead of pulling the blanket back, he gently touched your cheek, coaxing your gaze to meet his. âYou donât have to hide from me,â he said quietly, though there was a new spark in his eyes.
Before you could reply, he leaned in, kissing you sweetlyâbut the kiss deepened fast, his hand sliding to your waist like he couldnât hold back anymore. When he pulled away, his expression was softer again, but his words carried a daring edge.
âNext time, let me help,â he whispered, brushing his thumb across your lips. âI want to be the reason you feel that good.â
The mix of tenderness and boldness left your chest tight, your embarrassment dissolving into warmth as he wrapped you in his arms, holding you close like heâd never let go.
Kangmin
You didnât even hear him come in, too lost in your own pleasure. Kangminâs voice cut through the air suddenly, making you jolt.
âWell, well,â he said with a grin, leaning against the doorway. âLook at you.â
Your hand flew away instantly, face heating as you scrambled for the blanket. âKangminââ
But he was already laughing, striding over and tugging the cover back with no hesitation. âDonât stop because of me,â he teased, eyes sparkling. âYou looked like you were having a good time.â
You swatted at him, mortified, but Kangmin just caught your wrist, pressing a quick kiss to your palm. âI mean, I get it,â he added with a smirk. âI am hard to resist.â
Your glare only made him chuckle harder. He leaned down, brushing his nose against yours, playful but firm. âNext time, though,â he whispered, voice dropping just enough to make your stomach flip, âsave it for me. I like watching, but I like participating a lot more.â
The way he winked afterward made you groan and bury your face in the pillow, which only made him laugh louder. Still, he tucked you against his chest, pressing soft kisses into your hair until your embarrassment melted into giggles.
With Kangmin, even something so mortifying turned into something warm, light, and full of laughter.
Sangwon
You thought you had enough time before he came home, the hum of your own pleasure filling the silence of the bedroom. But when Sangwon pushed the door open, backpack still hanging from one shoulder, his eyes went wide the second he saw you.
He frozeânot because he was embarrassed, but because he couldnât believe heâd just walked in on that. His cheeks flushed pink, and for a moment he looked torn between covering his eyes and staring.
âY/NâŠâ His voice cracked a little, softer than usual. âWere youâŠ?â
Your face burned as you fumbled for the blanket, but Sangwon was already crossing the room, sitting gingerly at the edge of the bed. Instead of teasing, his hand reached out to squeeze yours, thumb brushing over your knuckles. âYou donât have to hide from me,â he said, eyes earnest. âItâs okay.â
You expected awkward silence, but instead he leaned closer, brushing his lips against your temple, as if grounding you. âI just⊠I donât like the thought of you needing comfort and me not being here,â he admitted shyly, but his hand never let go of yours.
The weight of his sincerity made your chest ache. Even though your body was still flushed from before, the softness in his tone melted away the embarrassment. He pressed another kiss, this time to your cheek, smiling gently. âNext time, let me be the one to take care of you, okay?â
And when you nodded, he wrapped you in his arms like it was the easiest thing in the worldâprotective, tender, making sure you knew you never had to feel alone in moments like this.
Andrew
The room was quiet except for the sound of your own shaky breaths, your body arching against the sheets as your hand moved between your thighs. You didnât even hear the door until it shut softly, and when you finally looked up, Andrew was standing there.
His gaze was sharp, heavy, taking in every detail. He didnât say a word at firstâjust walked forward, slow and deliberate, until he was at the edge of the bed. The heat in his eyes made you feel pinned in place.
âYouâre really going to do this without me?â His voice was calm, but there was an edge to it, low and commanding.
Your lips parted, scrambling for an excuse, but Andrew was already leaning down, bracing one hand by your head. âI donât mind you needing it,â he continued, tone steady, âbut donât forget who you belong to.â
The words sent a shiver down your spine, and before you could hide, he caught your wrist, guiding your hand back exactly where it had been. âFinish,â he said softly, eyes locked on yours. âBut do it while Iâm watching.â
Your whole body went hot under his gaze, every movement magnified by his focus. When you finally collapsed back against the pillows, he kissed you hard, claiming your mouth like he had been waiting for it.
âNext time,â he whispered against your lips, thumb brushing over your chin, âyou donât get to start without me.â
Xinlong
You were caught up in the heat of it, sheets tangled around your legs as you gasped into the quiet. The last thing you expected was Xinlongâs voice drifting in from the doorway, light and amused.
âWell, this is a surprise,â he said with a grin. âShould I leave you to it, orâŠ?â
Your whole body stiffened, face blazing as you tried to sit up, but Xinlong was already strolling over, hands casually in his pockets like heâd walked in on you reading a book. His eyes, though, told a different storyâsharp and playful, lingering on you in a way that made your breath catch.
âDonât look so guilty,â he teased, leaning down until his lips hovered by your ear. âIf anything, Iâm flattered. Thinking about me, werenât you?â
The way he said it made your stomach twist, equal parts embarrassment and heat. You pushed at his chest, but he just chuckled, catching your wrist with ease. âRelax,â he said smoothly, kissing the corner of your mouth. âI like knowing I can get you this worked up without even being here.â
He pulled back just enough to meet your eyes, his smile softening. âBut next time, donât do it alone. Iâd rather hear those sounds while Iâm the one making them.â
And with that, he pressed a lingering kiss to your lips, playful but full of promise, leaving you flushed and breathless in his arms.

synopsis: your newest running partner, kim junseo! (very much inspired from this video from the choi crew)
âș pairings & contents: runner!junseo x (runner) fem!reader
⧠warnings: smut ofcourse, very early morning sex lol, explicit dirty talk, praise, some profanity, pet names, eating out + fingering, oral sex. this is a work of fiction.
kim junseo's love for running is quiet and a relatively new rhythm. it's the first thing you learn about him, before you even know his name. you see him on the track at dawn. you're there, too, chasing your own pace, your own silence. it's only a matter of time before your orbits sync.
it starts with a nod. then, one misty morning, he falls into step beside you, matching your stride perfectly. "your cadence is off," he says, his voice a low, smooth baritone, not even breathless. "you're over-striding. shorten your step."
you're too surprised to be offended. "are you giving me unsolicited form advice?"
"yes." a small, almost imperceptible smile touches his lips. "it'll save your knees. try it."
you do. and it feels better. that's it. that's the beginning. he becomes your shadow, then your partner. you learn he runs not to race, not to win, but for the clarity. "the world makes sense at this pace," he tells you one day as you cool down, stretching against the chain-link fence. "everything else is just noise."
you understand. you run for the same reason.
your morning runs become sacred. 5:30 am, rain or shine, at the park with the long, looping trail. you talk about everything and nothing. work. the terrible coffee from the stand near the entrance. the stray dog that sometimes joins you for a half-mile. the way the light filters through the trees. he's reserved, but not closed off. he listens like he runs. and he's cute.
the shift is gradual. a hand on the small of your back to guide you around a puddle. lingering eye contact over shared water bottles. the way he says your name, like it's a finish line he's happy to reach.
it comes to a head after a particularly punishing long run. 12KM later, you'd pushed each other, competitive in that way you are, and you're both drenched in sweat, lungs burning, legs trembling with delicious fatigue. you're leaning against his car in the empty parking lot, the sunrise painting the sky in streaks of orange and pink.
"fuck," you pant, wiping your forehead with your sleeve. "that last hill."
"you killed it," he says, his eyes on you, dark and appreciative. he's not looking at the sunrise. "you're incredible."
the air between you crackles, charged with endorphins and something else you couldn't really name. something that's been building for miles and weeks. you're both buzzing with it, that raw, alive feeling that comes after you've pushed your body to its limit.
"junseo," you say, your voice softer than you intend.
he takes a step closer. the scent of sweat, clean salt and effort, mingles between you. "yeah?"
"what happens after the run?"
he understands. he always does. his gaze drops to your lips, then back to your eyes. "come home with me," he says, simple and direct. "shower off the track. i'll make you breakfast."
you nod. "okay."
his apartment is minimalist, clean, and smells faintly of sandalwood and fresh linen. it feels like him. orderly, calm, with an undercurrent of disciplined strength. he hands you a towel and a soft t-shirt. "you can use the shower first."
but you don't move. you stand in the middle of his living room, the adrenaline from the run morphing into a different kind of energy. he's watching you, leaning against the kitchen counter, his running shirt peeled off, revealing the sculpted, lean torso of a distance runner. he's all defined lines and corded muscle. fuck, he's so hot.
"actually," you say, your heart pounding a new rhythm. "i'm still⊠wound up."
a slow smile spreads across his face. it's a rare, full smile that reaches his eyes, and it transforms him. "yeah. me too." he pushes off the counter and walks toward you, his movements still carrying that runner's economy. he stops just inches away. "you need to come down. cool down properly."
"is that what you call it?" you breathe.
"it's an important part of the routine." his hands come up to cradle your face, his thumbs stroking your cheekbones. his touch is firm, sure. "helps prevent injury. lets the muscles relax." he leans in, his lips brushing yours, once, twice, a whisper of a touch. "let me take care of you.
it's not a question. it's a statement. a soft command. and it makes your knees weak.
"yes," you whisper.
the kiss deepens, turning from a cool-down into a sprint. it's hungry, fueled by months of shared miles and silent understanding. he tastes like the energy gel he took at mile eight and something uniquely, essentially him. his hands slide from your face, down your neck, over your shoulders, pushing the damp straps of your tank top down. he breaks the kiss only to pull the garment over your head, his eyes drinking in the sight of you in your sports bra.
"pretty girl," he murmurs, his voice husky. "all that strength. all that will." he kisses your shoulder, the hollow of your throat, his mouth hot against your sweat-cooled skin. he unhooks your bra with a deft flick, and it joins your top on the floor. his breath hitches as he looks at you. "fuck. i've imagined this. on the trail. when you're ahead of me, and i'm just watching you move."
his confession sends a shock of heat straight to your core. he guides you backwards towards his bedroom, a room as sparse and clean as the rest, dominated by a wide, low bed. he lays you down, following you, his body covering yours. the feel of him, solid and warm, is better than any post-run stretch.
he takes his time. he's a man who understands pacing. his mouth is on your breasts, licking, sucking, teasing your nipples until they're pebbled hard and you're arching off the mattress. his hands roam your body, tracing the muscles in your quads, the curve of your calf, with a reverence that's almost clinical in its appreciation. "perfect," he keeps whispering. "so perfect for me."
when his fingers hook into the waistband of your running shorts and underwear, he pauses, looking up at you. his eyes are dark, intense, but soft at the edges. "tell me you want this. use your words, beautiful."
"please, junseoâ"
he smiles that small, private smile and strips you bare. he kneels between your legs, just looking, his gaze so hot it feels like a touch.
then he lowers his head.
his mouth on you is deliberate, focused. he eats you out with the same concentration he applies to his stride analysis. he learns you, studies your reactions, finding the rhythm that makes you gasp, the pressure that makes you moan. his tongue is relentless, circling your clit, then plunging deep, his fingers joining to curl inside you. it's overwhelming, this targeted, devoted attention.
"junseoâ! i'm, i'm going toâŠ"
"i know," he says against your skin, his voice vibrating through you. "come for me. let go. i've got you."
you shatter with a cry, your body seizing as the orgasm crashes through you, wave after wave, your hands fisting in his hair. he gentles his touch, lapping softly until you're trembling and oversensitive, pushing weakly at his shoulders.
he moves up your body, kissing a path up your stomach, between your breasts, to your mouth. you can taste yourself on his lips. he's still in his running shorts, the fabric tented obscenely. you reach for the waistband, but he catches your wrist.
"let me," he says, his voice thick with need. he stands, shucking his shorts and briefs in one motion. he's gorgeous, fully erect, his body a testament to his passion. he grabs a condom from the nightstand, sheathes himself quickly, his eyes never leaving yours.
he comes back to you, settling between your thighs. he guides himself to your entrance, the head nudging against your slick heat. he looks down at you, his expression open, vulnerable in a way you've never seen. "you trust me?" he asks, needing the verbal confirmation.
"always," you say, meaning it with every fiber of your being.
he pushes in with one slow, deep, devastating thrust, filling you completely. you both groan, a synchronized sound of pure relief. he stills, buried inside you, his forehead dropping to yours. "god⊠you feel⊠even better than i dreamed."
then he begins to move. and it's like running with him. it's a perfect, synchronized pace. deep, measured thrusts that start slow, building gradually. he sets the rhythm, and your body follows, meeting him, matching him. his hands are on your hips, gripping firmly, guiding you. "that's it," he breathes, his voice ragged. "just like that. perfect pace. you take me so well."
the room fills with the sounds of skin on skin, of ragged breaths, of the soft, rhythmic creak of the bedframe. it's not frantic; it's sustained, powerful, like the steady beat of your feet on the trail. he shifts angle slightly, and on the next thrust, he hits a spot that makes you see stars.
"there! fuckâ," you cry out. "right there, junseo."
"i know," he grunts, his control fraying. he focuses on that angle, his thrusts becoming more powerful, more insistent. "come on, baby. come with me. i need to feel you."
his words, the nickname, the building tension in your gut,, it's too much. your second climax builds fast, a tight coil springing free. you clutch at his back, your legs locking around his waist. "junseo, i'mâ!"
"now," he commands, his own release tearing through him. "come now."
you break together. your orgasm rips through you, a silent, blinding wave that turns into a choked sob. he shouts your name, his body slamming into you one last time as he pulses deep inside you, his own release shuddering through him.
he collapses, careful to keep his weight on his forearms, his face buried in your neck. you're both slick with sweat again, breathing in the same ragged, spent unison as you did after the hill. his heartbeat thunders against your chest, a rapid, familiar cadence.
after long moments, he softens and slips out of you. he disposes of the condom and returns instantly, gathering you against him, pulling the sheet over you both. you're curled into his side, your head on his chest, listening to his heart gradually slow to a resting pace.
his fingers trace idle patterns on your shoulder. "cool down successful?" he asks, his voice a sleepy rumble.
you laugh, a tired, happy sound. "very. best cool down ever."
he presses a kiss to your hair. "good. because i want to do it again. tomorrow. after our run."
you tilt your head up to look at him. "the run, or the cool down?"
he smiles, that real, full smile just for you. "depends on your mood, really,"
you snuggle closer, your muscles loose and satisfied, a deeper contentment settling in your bones. "both then,"
ââŠLimbus Company | Wei x Gn!Reader | No spoilers!âŠâ
Weiâs not used to thisâ this jealousy that blossoms within his chest when he sees you laugh and smile at another person.
It's not right of him to feel this way, he knows this. He should be happy that you're happy, he should like the person that makes you laugh and smile so. But all he feels is an ugly feeling that festers deep inside his being. It takes all his strength not to glare down the person standing beside you, takes all his willpower not to make his unreasonable dislike of them obvious.
Wei has went through something similar with Xichun before so it's not like he's completely unaware or lost on how to deal with this situation. But his jealousy was never this extreme before.
He does his best to stay calm and hide his annoyance for you. You deserve so much better, after all. However, if someone dares to make you the slightest bit uncomfortable then he can't promise that he won't do something foolish.

Not to be dramatic... but you were convinced that Kim Junseo was the most perfect guy ever, and you developed a big fat crush on him the moment you met him.
âł Characters:Â brainy!Junseo x athlete!female reader/you
âł Genre:Â university au, fluff, romance, opposites attract
âł Words:Â 4.5k
âł Warning:Â mentions of food, drinks, injury, period and period blood, reader overthinks a lot
âł A/N:Â This story was very much inspired by 'not to be dramatic' by Zoe Clark.
The first thing that popped into your mind when you saw him walking into the gym hall was that he was so damn pretty.
Which, considering the fact that he was supporting Jihye who was using crutches after her injury, was probably not what you should have thought about, but you just couldnât help it. He looked like he had just stepped out of a manhwa with his proportions and that face that ancient painters would have made multiple portraits about. He was tall with broad shoulders but his features were soft, his eyes shining gently when he looked at Jihye and he was ready to help her with anything when she got to the bench and was ready to sit down.
Alarmed, it crossed your mind that he might have been her boyfriend (even if you didnât know whether she had one), and you were horrified that you ever dared to have such thoughts about someone elseâs boyfriend.
Then, Jihye dissolved your worry when she introduced the boy to you all.
âGirls, this is my twin brother, Junseo. Junseo, these are the girls on the dance team.â
Oh⊠so he was her twin brother. The Junseo you had barely heard about and had never even seen at parties because he was the smart one out of the two of them while Jihye was the athletic one. Though seeing the boyâs muscles, you were sure that he was hitting the gym pretty frequently between study sessions because damnâŠ
Junseo caught your eyes in that moment, and you felt like you got caught red-handed even though you knew very well that he couldnât have read your mind.
Still, you averted your eyes, ashamed of staring at him and his muscles so much.
Get it together, girl!
âLet me know when you finish with practice and Iâll come back,â Junseo turned to his sister after his introduction, and the girl nodded at his words. He seemed gentle and considerate, no hint of malice in his voice and it shocked you because you werenât even this close to your sibling and you had a sister, not a brother. Your sister was such a drama queen though, but at least dance practices kept you occupied enough to not have to spend too much time with her.
Just like that, he walked away without as much as looking back whereas your heart was going crazy at the brief interaction. Gosh, this was the first time a boy had such an effect on you, and it could only mean one thing: you had a big fat crush on Kim Junseo.
You were usually casual, flirty even, with guys. You werenât afraid to initiate a conversation at a party, or test the waters because what was there to lose?
However, even just the idea of seeing Junseo again made you feel oddly nervous, and you werenât sure how to function around him even though most of the time he merely helped Jihye into the gym hall and then picked her up in the parking lot because Jihye left with one of her best friends.
You and Jihye werenât super close either way. You talked here and there, but when one was a part of a dance team, it was impossible to be best friends with everyone because there were just so many of you. Not to mention the fact that you werenât on the same course in the same year with anyone from the team, so you didnât see each other outside of dance practices, except for parties.
On the other hand, on this particular Friday, Junseo was sitting on the bench beside his sister during the last 10 minutes of practice, and you were uncharacteristically edgy. You didnât have the best day to begin with, and seeing him there just made everything feel ten times more nerve-wrecking. Itâs not like you had to prove anything to him, but you still wanted to leave a good impression. Deep down, you knew that it was silly, you were practically strangers, but you couldnât help feeling this way.
So you were super focused on the choreography, afraid to mess anything up, but it also meant that your usual confidence didnât shine through the steps. Which just made you feel worse, and you couldnât help but finish practice with nothing but regrets. Gosh, you just wanted this day to end as soon as possibleâŠ
You walked up to the bench to grab your water bottle from your bag, only to realise that Junseo was sitting beside it. You glanced quickly in Jihyeâs direction as if you should ask for her permission to talk to her brother, but she was talking to Ryujin, so she didnât pay much attention to the boy who seemed quite awkward sitting by himself.
âSorry. Would you mindâŠ?â You asked as you pointed at your bag. He probably didnât realise that he was literally sitting beside your half-open bag, your water bottle touching his thigh, because he turned on full on apologetic mode once he caught sight of it.
âOh, Iâm so sorry,â he replied, his eyes wide in shock, and he helped put your water bottle back into your bag before he handed it to you and let you take a seat, widening the distance between you two.
âItâs okay,â you just shook your head, trying with a friendly smile, but you werenât sure that your smile was convincing because he furrowed his eyebrows and asked:
âAre you okay?â
This wasnât the question that you wanted to hear from him, but you were sure that you didnât look that appealing with a few locks stuck to your forehead and drops of sweat rolling down your back as you were speaking.
âYeah, sure,â you blurted out feebly, and tried to take care of the locks sticking to your forehead, but you just felt more pathetic by doing so, so you felt like adding an explanation. âJust didnât have the best day, thatâs all. It was one of those days when nothing worked out, you know.â
Oh my god, why were you oversharing to your crush? This was the first proper conversation you two had, so why were you pouring your heart out to him? Not like you expected him to empathise with you or anything, but stillâŠ
Damn those beautiful eyes of his that looked like little galaxies, sucking you into their endless depth. His features literally softened when you admitted that you actually werenât fine, but instead of feeling happy about it, you were nervous. What if he thought that you were a drama queen, and he would never want to speak to you again?
âIâm sorry to hear that,â he remarked gently, and despite being practically strangers, he said it so convincingly that you wouldnât have thought that he just said it out of politeness. Or did you just want to believe in it? âItâll get better, so hwaiting!â He cheered you on as he balled his hands into fists and lifted them up, smiling.
You blinked at him for a few seconds, totally frozen on the spot. Did Kim Junseo try to cheer you up? Were you not dreaming? What was going on?
You were so shocked by his antics that you couldnât mutter a single word, and the boy might have misunderstood it because he let out a semi-awkward giggle before retreating his hands.
âThanks. I appreciate it, I just⊠didnât think that anyone would notice that I wasnât doing fine, and that they would try to cheer me up,â you blurted it out in one go, afraid that he would misunderstand you.
Now it was your turn to let out an awkward giggle because what were you doing, trying to explain yourself like that?
You just looked at each other for a few seconds, both your and his cheeks red from embarrassment. Then, you finally remembered that you were there for your water bottle and took a few sips of it. Junseo looked away as if he was trying to give you space, and though you appreciated it, you were also awfully aware of the fact that he was still there.
Feeling like you just had to say something, you broke the silence by offering that any of you could help Jihye into the gym hall and walk her to the parking lot if it was of any assistance. The boy thanked you for the offer, but reasoned that he was on campus either way, studying in the library, so it was no bother.
âWhatâs your major?â You inquired because you didnât remember Jihye mentioning what he was actually studying, just that he was super good at it.
âSociology. Yours?â
âBusiness management.â
You couldnât have been more different, it seemed, and yet⊠the fact that he was studying sociology and with the way he was so perceptive, you werenât exactly taken aback. Yet, that just made him more attractive in your eyes, and you werenât sure you could fall for him further, but here you wereâŠ
Thankfully, you were saved by Jihye patting him on the shoulder to gain his attention, and as they started conversing, you slowly packed up and left the gym hall, your face scarlet red not just because of the dance practice, but also because of the interaction you had with him.
As usual, you attended the party with the girls from the dance team, and since Jihye didnât come because of her injury (and because she didnât want to maneuver around people with her crutches in a crowded place), it didnât even cross your mind that Junseo, out of all people, would come.
However, there he was in the corner of the kitchen, talking to a boy who was even taller than he was, and once you noticed him, you couldnât tear your gaze away. It looked like he was trying to give a pep talk to the other guy who looked quite fidgety, and you swore that he ran his hands through his hair like every five seconds. Junseo then patted him on the back and gently shoved him, prompting him to move.
Your eyes followed the person the guy walked towards which just so happened to be a girl you actually knew. Byeol from the Leadership and Management course was kind of well-known in the business department because she had made history for being the only first-year female student who had created a club, a debate club on top of that. You had shared a class with her last year, and though she seemed really cool and determined, sometimes she seemed pretty intimidating, too. No wonder the tall guy was nervous to approach her.
As you averted your eyes back to Junseo, you caught him already staring at you. You had no idea what to do with yourself, so you ended up giving him a little wave with your hand which just made you feel even worse.
For godsâ sake, what were you doing?
âIâll be right back,â you turned towards Chaeryeong and Remi who were deep in conversation about the latest Kdrama they were watching, so they (thankfully) didnât notice your awkward little wave.
Then, you made your way towards Junseo who still stood there by himself in the corner, seemingly not knowing what to do with himself. Though from your point of view, he just looked extra precious looking like a lost puppy.
âHey!â
âHi!â
âI didnât expect to see you here,â you noted with a smile, trying to speak over the loud music that was blasting from at least three different speakers on this level.
Junseo scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, and god damnit, you felt like your insides were melting. How could anyone look this pretty and handsome, and be so gentle and attentive as he was? Not to be dramatic, but he was literally like an angel, you could almost see the halo around his head.
âOh yeah. I just accompanied Hyunsuk because he didnât want to come alone, but we came because he wanted to talk to Byeol. Byeol is the-â
âHead of the debate club,â you finished his sentence, and he nodded with a smile in return. âYep, I know. We had a class together last year.â
âOh right. Youâre both business students,â he connected the dots with an airy laugh.
You ended up telling him that you also felt like Byeol was a bit intimidating but she was also pretty nice once you got to know her. It turned out that Hyunsuk actually joined the debate club because of her (because he had a crush on her), but he felt like things had not turned out the way he wanted it to between the two of them, so he was trying to make a move.
It was kind of cute of Junseo to accompany his friend to a party to help him out, but of course, you didnât phrase yourself like that. Instead, you said that it was nice of him to do so.
After a while, when you got tired of shouting over the music, you decided on continuing the conversation outside on the patio where only Heeseung and Sungchan from the basketball team were around. Junseo (as the gentleman he was) held the door for you and let you go first, so you decided on the opposite corner of the patio where the two athletes were. Not that you were afraid that they would gossip about you and Junseo because they were pretty introverted, but still⊠You didnât want them to hear any of your nervous rambling or anything of the sort.
âY/NâŠâ Junseo called out your name so gently that you felt like you were the main character in a movie and you were about to hear his confession when you knew very well that would not happen. Still, when you turned towards him. your heart was beating against your ribcage so wildly that you thought that it would malfunction in the next second.
What followed was the furthest thing from a confession thoughâŠ
âDonât be scared, butâŠâ He started quietly, and despite the fact that he told you not to be scared, your heart was beating erratically for a different reason now. âYou have a red stain on the back of your dress. Iâm guessing itâs your⊠you know,â Junseo continued, and though his face was as understanding as ever, you wanted the ground to swallow you up whole instead of seeing his big doe eyes and bittersweet smile as he was telling you that you had most probably leaked through your pad.
Great.
Absolutely fantastic.
You had never ever been happier before.
âOh my gosh, noâŠâ You whimpered frantically, mentally calculating with every possible way to just evaporate right then and there. You closed your eyes for a few seconds, too embarrassed to face anyone, much less the boy you were having a big fat crush on. This couldnât be happening right when you were about to have a lovely conversation with him on this lovely patio under the dim lights.
The thought that others might have seen it too (or worse: will continue to see it) made you open your eyes instantly, but then again, you wore a light dress with nothing to cover up your bum because it was late April and there was no need for extra layers.
âHereâŠâ Junseoâs voice brought you back to reality, and as if he read your mind, he shrugged off his flannel shirt, revealing a simple white tee underneath, and held the shirt out for you.
You blinked down at the piece of clothing, feeling like you could burst into tears any moment because bless him and his caring soul for being so willing to help you out even though most boys would probably freak out over seeing period blood on a girlâs dress. Then again, he had a twin sister, so he was probably used to the period talk at home.
âYou sure?â
âYes, absolutely,â he nodded fervently, and there was a smile in the corner of his lips when he added. âHey, itâs okay. Itâs nothing to be embarrassed about.â
Why did Kim Junseo have to be the best boy on Earth?
âThank you so so much. This is literally a lifesaver!â You exclaimed gratefully as he handed over his shirt and you used it to cover up your embarrassing little spot. Or maybe it wasnât even little, it crossed your mind, but you hoped that it wasnât too bad. You had to get home somehow because you were 100% sure that you wouldnât stay any longer after such an accident even though you wanted nothing more than to talk with Junseo.
âYou girls deal with the tough stuff, Iâm just glad if I could help out at times like this,â he shrugged casually as if he did this every single day, and you swore you could kiss him right and there. If you werenât so horrified about the actual circumstances of your conversation, that isâŠ
âThank you, really. Iâll give it back to you as soon as I can, but I think it might be best if I went home now,â you announced, awkwardly gesturing towards your back body even though you knew that he would get what you meant.
You were about to bid your goodbye when he asked:
âDo you want me to give you a ride? Iâve parked just right around the corner.â
Oh. My. Gosh. This guy just couldnât get any more perfect. After handling the situation so well, he was willing to give you a lift? Seriously, what did you do in your past life to deserve him?
âAre you sure? Donât you need to wait for Hyunsuk?â
âI think heâll be fine,â he replied, boasting a boyish smile. Under different circumstances, that smile would have made you feel all giddy and warm, but this time, it just reminded you of another thing you would miss out on because you had to cut the night short due to your messy period.
After making sure that it was 100% okay with Junseo to give you a ride back home, you followed him to his car and got in (he held the door for you, of course). You were usually fidgety when you were nervous, but you were so aware of wearing his flannel shirt in his own carâs seat on your period that you dared not to move at all. Why did today have to be the day your emergency pad wasnât enough because you bled through it, so now you had to leave the party that just got interesting because Junseo was there?
At least, Junseo still didnât seem weirded out by the whole situation. In fact, he started talking about how he had saved up for this car and when he had learned how to drive, and soon enough, your nerves settled, and you were ready to engage in the conversation instead of worrying about your stain.
Yet again, you realised just how sweet and precious Junseo was, and even though you had met him because of Jihye, you hadnât talked about her up until this point when Junseo remarked that he had gotten his driving license just in time to help Jihye out. Instead of admitting if it had inconvenienced him to drive her everywhere, he remarked how devastated Jihye had been when she had learned that it would take her 2-3 months to recover and even more to regain her full strength and mobility to go back to dancing like before. Thatâs why she insisted on attending dance practices, so that she wouldnât miss out on the routines during her recovery. He talked about his sister in such a caring way, you were sure that he was a great brother even though he spent a lot of time studying.
Time flew by in his company, and by the time he dropped you off in front of your house, you almost forgot about the whole fiasco with your dress. Almost.
âCan we exchange numbers? So that I could let you know when I can give your shirt back. Washed and dried, of course,â you promised earnestly, actually not making an excuse to get his number, but you could get it either way which was just crazy.
The boy didnât even protest, so you exchanged contacts, and after thanking him a couple more times, you wished each other good night. Despite the fact that you could have imagined walking back to your front door with his shirt on, with his number in your phone after being dropped off by him under very different circumstances, he managed to turn this night around, and you would forever be grateful for him for that.
After you gave Junseoâs shirt back as promised, you werenât sure when you would see him again because technically, it wasnât guaranteed that you would be in the same place again.
However, he continued to drop by occasionally to see the last few minutes of the dance practices before picking up his sister, and you even managed to bump into him in the library a few times as exam season rolled by. He was always eager to hear about your days, and after a while, you developed the habit of getting late night snacks from the 24/7 convenience store on campus together when you needed a bit of a pick-me-up during study sessions. Nothing was planned, nothing was re-arranged, but you couldnât deny that you were spending way more time studying on campus this semester than you ever did before.
If anything, your feelings for him just grew stronger and stronger as days went by, but how could you have not fallen for him when he was such a green flag? He was kind, caring, perceptive, and he had that adorable shy laugh that you wished to remember forever, tucked into your memory as one of your favourite sounds.
He was also very pretty, like a real-life prince, and you had to force yourself not to stare at him too much when the sun was shining on his features while studying or the way his muscles were on display while he was driving. He insisted on driving you back when you finished studying late at night, and you just couldnât say no to him.
However, when you submitted your last assignment for the semester, you knew that it also meant that you wouldnât need to come to campus every day because of summer break, only for dance practices. You kind of dreaded this day because it would mean not having your study sessions together with Junseo, something that you had grown fond of over the last few weeks. Not to mention the fact that Jihye could now walk without crutches, so she didnât need her brotherâs assistance.
That night, when you packed up your stuff and headed outside of the library together, you were uncharacteristically quiet. You submitted your assignment around 6pm, so it wasnât even dark, but you stalled in front of the building, not knowing whether he would offer to drive you back or not, and you were too embarrassed to bring up the question.
Instead, you found yourself asking:
âDo you want to grab dinner together? You know, to celebrate my last assignment for the semester,â you suggested casually, and the smile he gave you in return turned your legs into jelly.
âSure. What do you have in mind?â
Truthfully, you had nothing in mind, you just wanted to spend more time with him, but you suggested a place anyway. While waiting for your orders, you inquired if Junseo had any plans for summer, and he said that he had a summer class that would involve working on a research project. The project would also help him prepare for his final thesis next year, so he didnât mind spending more time doing it. When he asked about your side, you shared that you had a dance bootcamp lined up and a competition later on, so you were preparing for that.
Your answers made it very clear that you would not see each other during summer, but you tried not to show that you were affected by it. However, that also meant that you were rambling on and on, afraid to put an end to this conversation, to say goodbye to him for the next few weeks. You knew very well that you were being dramatic, but you just couldnât help it.
After dinner, Junseo offered to give you a ride back home, but the closer you got, the more disheartened you were. When he stopped in front of your house, you looked ahead of yourself for a few seconds before turning towards him.
âI guess itâs time to say goodbye then. Good luck for your summer class, Junseo!â
You put on a friendly, cheery smile when inside you felt like crawling a hole for yourself and not getting out of it until the first week of the next semester rolled by.
Junseo looked at you, perplexed, as if you said something confusing.
âW-wait, you donât want to see me during summer?â
Now it was your turn to be confused. What was he talking about?
âWhat do you mean?â You asked, furrowing your eyebrows in question. Of course you wanted to see him, but you werenât going to. Right?
âJust because Jihye doesnât use her crutches anymore, I can still come by your dance practices. Iâll be on campus either way,â he broke it down to you, and you felt like facepalming yourself because why had you not thought about it before? âBut if youâre uncomfortable with me there, I donât-â
âNo! I would love for you to come. Anytime, really. Please, come by!â You cut him off instantly.
Junseo gave you a coy little giggle hearing your eager words, but the damage had already been done, so you had to bear the consequences of your actions. He still had the chance to back away if he found your antics annoying or awkward or-
âBesides, I would love to take you out on a date someday if you wouldnât mind.â
Wait, what?
You almost got whiplash when you decided to turn towards him in a swift motion because you werenât sure that you had heard it right. Did Kim Junseo just ask you out? Did your crush just ask you out? Oh my gosh, it was really happening. You werenât dreaming!
âNo! I wouldnât mind. Not at all. I would love to. I would be more than happy, actually,â you blurted out in one go, and you saw the boyâs shoulders drop in relief.
Now it was your turn to let out a chuckle because gosh⊠you were majorly overreacting, werenât you?
He didnât seem to mind though, so that was good.
You were all good.
It would be just fine.
More than fine, actually.

âTake one more step and I shoot.â The threat echoed against the walls of the empty warehouse and you scrunched your eyes shut tightly, taking a breath and trying to reach the dagger you had on hand without anyone noticing. It was hard to do anything discreetly when you were being held so tightly against your targetâs body, a gun barrel pressed up to your temple. You dared to open your eyes to catch another glance at what Yongha was doing.
It was a bit hard to see in the dark, but you could just make out a stealthy shadow travelling along the second floor of the warehouse; overseeing everything happening below from the railing. You were confident that even if you couldnât get out of this yourself, Yongha wouldnât let any other man even lay a finger on you. He was sort of possessive when he came to that. You were sure your husband was already fuming at just seeing you trapped in the arms of a man you both should have been able to have taken out by now.
You would have had the situation completely under control if your target hadnât prepared backups. Taking down 1 man twice your size was one thing, but 3 all at once was a little more of a task for you. You were strong for a woman, sure, but men towering well above 6 feet still had an overwhelming physical advantage. That was why you didnât even try to struggle in the hold of your captor. Staying calm and grabbing hold of your dagger was the best chance you had.
âIf you have any sense of self-preservation left in you, youâll let her go now before I blast your brains out.â
The response came twice as harsh as the original threatâ right on brand for Yongha. You held back a scoff. Of course your husband would jump straight to that. Though, that was part of the reason you loved him, you supposed.
The next moments flashed by in the blink of an eye. You felt that arm around you loosen just slightly, most likely from a shiver running up the manâs spine at your husbandâs chilling warning. This gave you just enough room to grab the dagger strapped to your leg and ram it into the manâs side. A gunshot fire was heard half a second later; Yonghaâs excellent aim ensured the bullet seared right through the manâs skull.
You let out a relieved sigh. Even though your life might not have been in danger (you could always tell when your target would be too scared to actually pull a trigger), it was still nice to not have the scruffy arms of a man with a long history of illegal activity holding you in place. The only arms belonging to a man that you would willingly let yourself be held by were Yonghaâs; and for the record, he smelled pleasantly of musk and freshly washed dress suits.
âWanna go catch dinner? All that drama stirred up an appetite.â You heard your husbandâs playful tone sound through the room as he jumped down from the banister. You smiled as you picked up your gun again and placed it back in its holster. You always found Yonghaâs voice shifts from when he was threatening someone to when he was talking to you to be entertaining.
âWill you buy me a filet mignon? Iâm in the mood for something fancy.â You replied back in the same playful tone he had offered.
âIf you dress up nice.â He shrugged and flashed you a flirty grin.
âDeal.âÂ
An hour later you were dressed in a velvet black evening dress, sipping expensive tasting wine across your husband. For missions he always wore his hair tied up, but for dinner dates, he let the long dark strands down, styled only slightly. You loved how perfectly his hair framed his face, contrasting nicely with the white silk suit he had adorned instead of his usual work attire.
He was trying his best to keep a straight face, but whenever your eyes met his, he couldnât help how his lips quivered and eventually formed a cute smile. Given how soft he was with you and his friends, you wondered how it was even possible he was good at his jobâ he was acting like a smitten boy in love, and not as if a man had just died at his hands an hour ago (very deservingly).
âAre you drunk already? Your face is flushed.â You took the first opportunity you could to tease him. Seeing him get all shy and smitten never got old.Â
âNo! The food hasnât even gotten here, we barely started drinking.â He hushed you, his eyes darting around to the other tables of couples or groups of friends all dressed to the nines. And then with a hesitant whisper, he asked, âAre you sure we really fit in here?âÂ
You giggled. In terms of looks alone, no one would question you or Yongha. You had both dressed appropriately for the 5-star restaurant, and either one of you had a stare that could kill. Yongha seemed to always be a little too precautionary when out in public.
âWhat? You want to leave before we get our steak?â You raised your eyebrow at him as you sipped more of the dark red wine. Your husband shook his head slightly, seeming to relax a little, but still be on edge. You could barely focus on anything other than how endearingly his cheeks were flushed.
âYou wanted steak, so you will get steak.â He said simply with a smile, âFrom my wallet.â He added as an afterthought, making both of you break out into soft laughter.
You loved to relax like this with your husband after a mission, both of you lost in the other's eyes for a couple hours as you wound down from the high stress of your job. As long as you had each other, whether it was on a mission or sitting across the dinner table, you were content with life.
