was kinda nervous for my plants since i didn't have a sitter for the three weeks i was away. i'd rigged a little watering system for them before i left and i'm thrilled it seems to have worked!
all of them are still happy and even have some new growth that wasn't there before and i'm glad ;w;
just an afternote; my tiny ficus isn't meant to stay in that pot. it was only temporary for the aforementioned watering rig and it will be going back to a properly fitted one after this. meanwhile my peperomia went wildly out of control with growth lmao
Columbo S10E13 βMurder with Too Many Notesβ (2001)
Maidenhair fern spotted at 1:04:22! With, I think, some kind of rex begonia in the foreground? (Also, yes, this episode is another Patrick McGoohan joint, though he does not star in it.)
Bonus plant #1: this snake plant.
Bonus plant #2: these fake weeping figs. Not sure why these trees had such a grip on interior designers from the late 80s to the early aughts, but they sure did!
This is the penultimate Columbo episode I have to review. Start getting ready to say goodbye.

My little weeping fig bonsai, 8 months into its first training π I'm so pleased with the way it's held its shape. I did make a mistake, in that I left this first wire on for too long - there are scars now on the branches, but luckily they're small and light. Hopefully they will fade even more with time.
Now for the second wiring!
Running a little private ARG with my friends and here is some art I made of scenes :3 Nightshade belongs to @morgast and Weeping Fig belongs to @audio-drama

A couple miscellaneous pieces to share today! Iβve nearly run out of card art, but Iβve done other artwork for Birdwatcher as well. On top, a male Standardwing Bird-of-Paradise, hand drawn in colored pencil. These are a special reward for ultimate backers at the Birdwatcher kickstarter - originals and one-of-a-kind! (And the kickstarter only goes for about two more days, get in on it before itβs gone!)
Below, this is the tree used by the player to organize their cards at the table. Itβs Ficus benjamina, the weeping fig, which is an abundant tree in New Guinea that has such a beautiful domed shape. Those fig fruits are a popular food with all kinds of animals, including birds!
My house plants π±π I lost quite a few while I was in the hospital but these are left π€ I dont know whats going on with one of the succulents and my weeping fig is a drama queen.
Back home there is aΒ ficus benjamin that is older than I. It has moved around wherever we have gone and somehow hasnβt thrown too many tantrums. My mom recently went about trimming the bare sticks and a few little ones came off in the process. I now have them in water and am hoping for roots. If this works out I can have a child plant that is sort of older than me!
