1. Progress Report:

Yandere Night Drama CD: Track 1,2 and 3 are now 100% written, which means I’ll be able to record a first sample to share :) Look forward to it soon!

Prison translation: is on hold for the moment. Your feedback has been amazing but all the funds for it are currently being put on the Jumin daki (I’m sure you -and your wallets - all understand. T_T)

2. Quick Reviews

Dream Daddy: is overpriced. The concept is cute and the art pretty, but I’m sure those who tried it too will agree with me that it is not fully voiced as it advertises (it’s grunted and sighed, which could be described as partially voiced, at best) the routes are way too short, and the lack of setting options (no history of the dialogue, no way to adjust the music vs the grunts of the characters, no text-skip, etc.) makes for an irritating experience. Grab it on sale, if you must.

The House in Fata Morgana: is a gem. My friend and I joked that it was the House of Never Ending Misery, since every character goal seems to be to surpass the other in terms of tragedy, but it was truly a fantastic experience. The art is gorgeous, the music is beautiful, the story carefully plotted and executed...It’s a labor of love, it shows, and at 30 hours of gameplay just to go through the story once, 24.95$ is definitely a steal.

1. Progress Report:

Summoning Candyman chapter 7′s draft is now 100% complete! It felt really good to reconnect with this story, and there’s a lot of plot development coming that I’m excited to share :) I aim for a release next week-end if possible. Drama CD creation project: Audacity produced excellent results to transform my voice into a male’s pitch, so I started searching for an artist to commission for the CD jacket and thinking of the scenario. I’m really excited about the possibilities such a project offers (r18 english yandere CD, why not? *_*)

2. Quick Reviews

Wilder demo, as I posted earlier this week, is an awesome english otome from Sonnet009 about an exotic medieval world filled with djinn slaves, and the tagline alone resumes its appeal perfectly: "Do not be fooled, child, for a monster chained is still a monster." (and by that alone you know I’m on board, yesss. Please try it, you won’t be disappointed - in fact I wish we knew about the other love interests already).

The Letter demo is an interactive horror visual novel about an English mansion cursed by a vengeful spirit in The Ring style. It features seven playable characters, animated background and sprites, quick-time events, voice acting...Visually, it blew me away. This game is absolutely GORGEOUS and just for that you need to check it. Story-wise, I was annoyed by the repetitive style of the writing, but things pick up as soon as the heroine gets in the mansion, so I stay confident about the end result. I just wish I knew about this sooner to participate in their various campaigns.

3. Otome Website Rec This week I recommend you check Reverse Harem Garden. In it you’ll find not otome games, but rather everything linked to anime, drama, manga and book of the reverse harem type, which is awesome because it features lots of stuff you wouldn’t normally think of that expands the otome universe. For example, that’s where I first learnt of theatrical plays! :)

Sharing Is Caring chap.2 is now 50% done, so I’m confident for a release next week-end :) Following this schedule, SC chap. 7 is projected for the beginning of February. 

Aigan Ningyou vol. 3 Translation: should be completed around Valentine’s Day. Yay for spending the Lovers Holiday with a grade-A yandere! :D

2. Quick Reviews

Pangs was a nice, quick and simple horror visual novel about vampirism that is worth trying, though not intriguing enough for my taste to unlock all the routes.

Mystic Messenger Christmas DLC: I don’t want to do a full post about it so I’ll just mention it here, but while it was awesome to have more content I felt it was rushed. At some places the translation was poor and not coherent with the main game’s characterization, the sound of the phone calls sounded like they were recorded in a metal can, and the whole setting left me confused. Why didn’t it take place after the main game? Why do we have to fall in love again in an accelerated fashion? I still haven’t figured it out o_O

3. Otome Website Rec 

This week I recommend you check https://xanhvert.wordpress.com. The owner has a special interest for yandere and brother fetish :D and do both drama CDs (for example, the whole Aigan Ningyou series) and game (for example, Yoshiwara Higanbana) summaries. While the game summaries are in vietnamese, the gist of it is easy to understand with google translate and should provide you with tons of ideas on what to spend your money on XD
