Weekend Plot Twist: Pulled Backs, CN Tower Dinners, and the Ultimate Anniversary Hangover 😵💫🏙️
Well, if you want to make God laugh, tell Him your weekend plans. To say the last 48 hours did not go as planned would be the understatement of the century. What was supposed to be a high-energy, double-celebration whirlwind turned into a masterclass in physical recovery and unexpected plot twists.
Here is the chaotic breakdown of how the weekend actually unfolded:
The Saturday Betrayal: I kicked off the weekend by somehow pulling my back on Saturday morning. Just like that, our grand plans for an action-packed day at Canada's Wonderland were completely out the window. Instead of rollercoasters, my day consisted of zero movement and a massive sleep marathon.
The Sunday Sideline: I woke up Sunday hoping for a miracle, but my back was still holding a massive grudge. I was entirely too sore to navigate the crowds, which meant missing the Pride Parade. Missing out on the electric energy downtown was a huge bummer, so I spent the daytime hours doing the only thing I could: sleeping it off and resting up for the main event.
Dinner in the Clouds (and Too Many Drinks): I refused to let the entire weekend be a wash, especially since it was our first wedding anniversary. I managed to pull myself together enough to head out to our anniversary dinner at the CN Tower. The views over Toronto were absolutely breathtaking, the food was incredible, and the company was even better. The only problem? To compensate for the back pain, I might have leaned a little too hard into the cocktail menu.
The Monday Morning Verdict 🛌✨
Fast forward to right now: I am back home, my back is tender, and I am nursing a truly massive, soul-crushing headache. Classic case of flying too close to the sun.
Today is all about aggressive relaxation, heavy hydration, and letting the caffeine do its literal magic. Naturally, to give my pulled back and my hangover a fighting chance, I am keeping the outfit down to the absolute bare essentials—just hanging out in my favorite neon speedos for maximum airflow, zero restriction, and a much-needed boost of mood-lifting color.
The goal for today is simple: do absolutely nothing, recover fully, and ensure I am feeling 100% by tomorrow. Let the couch session commence.
