Unstoppable Beauty: Ronda Rousey
Can anything stop the most dominant mixed-martial-arts fighter who was in fact recently named “the most dominant athlete alive” (beating out 50 others including LeBron and Mayweather) ?  Ronda Rousey, now 28-years old is a female powerhouse in the world of UFC as well as an actress and accomplished author.Â
“It’s the thought of failing. That is my one and only big fear."
Born with an umbilical cord wrapped around her neck, until she was about six years old, it was uncertain if Ronda would ever speak an intelligent sentence. Â With the support and dedication of her family, Ronda did well in school, excelling in math, science, and art. Â
“I felt a level of joy I have never felt before”
Following her mother’s footsteps, she took up judo and at the age of 17, Ronda became the youngest judoko in the world to qualify for the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Four years later, Ronda won a bronze medal at the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Although she was unhappy that it was only for a bronze medal, it made her the first American woman judoka to ever even place in the Games. Frustrated with her Olympic experience, Ronda quit her sport and spent a year living an unproductive, unhealthy lifestyle.
“10 grand and a handshake”
An opportunity to be a professional MMA fighter came to Ronda and she decided to give it a shot.
Thankfully she did as today Ronda is undefeated in mixed martial arts, having won eleven of her twelve fights in the first round.
"Right now, I'm the baddest chick on the planet."
Yes, you are Ronda and we cannot wait to see you back in the ring on November 14, 2015.
