Week 05 - Fifth Update of 20-Time!
Actual Status Updates:
Progress? Significant progress this week! During class, I was able to completely sketch out 1 out of the 5 remaining pieces, the one piece being the Kiki’s Delivery Service piece. I completed the entire concept and sketch of Kiki, her broom, her pose, etc. during class which was successful. Although my “Steven Universe” part is completely done in the sketching and line art process, I was unable to finish coloring within the free time that I had. As a result, I’ll not only sketch and color the pieces but will also slowly color the huge, massive piece little by little as the weeks go by.Â
Adjustments? The only significant adjustment I made was the scheduling I made for the pieces as for now on, I will work on both the little, smaller pieces, as well as the large “Steven Universe” section as the weeks go by.Â
Any challenges? One challenge I had was choosing a specific pose for Kiki quickly as the original pose did not quite fit in well with how the overall drawing was going. The easy solution was to change the pose, but due to a time crunch, I had to figure a new position quickly. In the end, I was able to completely finish the concept within the amount of time!
Overall progress:
Still on track? After all of the adjustments and changes, yes! I am back on track on my original plan and schedule I had set out for myself from the beginning :)
What are you going to do next week? Bring my liners and colored pencils, so that I may completely finish Kiki’s piece and work on the “Steven Universe” section as well. The main goal is to completely finish Kiki’s portion.Â
Thank you so much for following the development of my masterpiece and I hope you’ll continue to view my updates :)

Week05 - Visual Journal #4
Growing up with the rise of Spotify being people's primary music streaming platform, I've seen playlists be the center of one's personalized compilation of emotions and vibes. It ranges from situationships, getting through a breakup, being in love, summer vibes, the list goes on!
I am relatively new to Spotify (premium... I was using Soundcloud before) so here is the cover of my first ever Spotify playlist. These specific songs make me feel like I'm in a red brick apartment in NYC. It's near sundown during the Fall/Winter months, and I'm in my living room watching the sunset as I smoke a cigarette with a Bud Light.
I don't smoke or drink. This is just what came to mind!
I really like the cohesion of colors across the 4 different album covers. 3/4 of the album covers have shades of yellow and brown, that sort of makes a film of orange. And of course, there is a darker color element that exists in all the covers. Some of them being darker brown and some are just pitch black.

Week 5: Customer Segmentation
In my understanding of how customer segmentation works, it is dividing a customer base into groups of individuals similar in specific ways relevant to marketing, such as age, gender, interests, and spending habits.
For ATOM, we did our customer segmentation for NavigaTour by conducting in-depth interviews with three individuals who represent our customer persona. We purposely interviewed individuals who represent our intended market from distinct age groups. Hence, we have one elderly, one teen, and mall personnel to represent the mall management at large. If we had one more room for an interviewee, we would also love to interview a visually-challenged person to understand their demands more intently when it comes to the usage of navigation applications.
The interview went well; we learned about their backgrounds and how they perceive the use of a navigation application such as NavigaTour for accurate indoor mall mapping. We got to ask them questions about their frustrations and motives when going to malls. We also learned their viewpoint regarding the features that they think would be beneficial to users as offered by a navigation application, aside from its main navigation feature.
After that, we created the customer workflow, which was quite technical, and we somehow had a hard time attaining it. But we were able to discern how to do it. We realized it should be significantly based on the information gathered from our interviews with our customer persona. As a startup company, we understand that a customer journey flowchart will help us increase our customer engagement and provide a holistic view of interaction with customers across different contact points of our application (NavigaTour). Besides, it also helps create comprehensive customer profiles based on customer engagement through multiple channels.
With all these learnings, we feel like we are now equipped and ready to go on to the other processes as we aim to establish NavigaTour and make it come to life.
Week 5: Vulnerabilities
Activity 1:Â
Martha's Recipes - Find the errors (vulnerabilities) in the recipesÂ
Recipe 1: Simple Vanilla Cake
Quantities for ingredients (sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla essence, milk, flour)
Temperature at 180 degrees F --> 82 degrees C which is quite low to bake a cake
Excessive time to bake cupcakes
Recipe 2: Caramel Slice
Extra 100g of butter but no instructions of what to do with this.Â
Errors in quantity and no measurement:Â Â
1/2 desiccated coconut - cup? tablespoon?
2 x 395 sweetened condensed milk - grams or mls
No instructions for the use of golden syrup, condensed milk
No instructions on how to make the caramel
Recipe 3: Cheese Souffle
Asked to butter the dish and then melt the butter but there wouldn’t be enough to both butter dish and melt to use in recipe.
No quantity in regards to how much butter actually needed in recipe.Â
Whisking egg whites until stiff and glossy but not dry? Vague instructions if someone has not baked before.
Cooking time says 30 minutes but in instructions it says bake for 10-15 mins

Week 5: Case Study - Self Driving Cars
This week I couldn’t access the page before tutorial so there was no research.
-----
So in this case study we were divided into groups to discuss the assets and risks of self driving cars and a recommendation for either yes or no. We (my group) didn’t realise that we were the head of security so we analysed asset, risk and recommendation in a more general way.Â
Asset:Â
Live of peopleÂ
InfrastructureÂ
TransportÂ
Risk:Â
EconomicalÂ
Security of transportÂ
Ethics of an accident
Recommendation: As a group we decided yes! Weighing up on the assets and risk it is inevitable to have self driving cars in the future.Â
Reflection: If I was the head of security, weighing up the assets and risks, I would say no, Australia is not ready for self driving cars. From past accidents such self-driving cars not recognising humans in the dark or darker-skinned individuals I believe that the technology is not ready to be fully used independently. If it were to be released, there must be protocols and methods to ensure the safety of all individuals and the ability for the vehicle to react quickly enough. Similarly, with self driving cars, the “driver” shouldn’t be distracted as it there is always a risk of malfunction.Â
Week 5: Security Everywhere
https://www.zdnet.com/article/uks-largest-police-forensics-lab-paid-ransom-demand-to-recover-locked-data/
Found this interesting article ^;Â
Eurofins is the largest police forensic lab in the UK which does testing/analysis for over 70, 000 criminal cases per year. They manage over 800 labs around the world, and in June 2019 their system was taken over with ransomware, this affected systems in different counties. On the 24th June, the company had paid the ransom to regain access to their systems via a decryption key from the attackers.Â
How could it have happened:Â
Social Engineering
Email attachments
Phishing
Running programs that look genuine
Visiting malicious websites
Trojans
Remote Desktop Protocol
Legacy Protocols
Some of these have actually been discussed in lectures!
