It's been almost seven years since we first met, and ever since that first day, I have never doubted for a moment that you would be a part of the rest of my life. There was an instant connection and mutual understanding between us that whatever we had going on, we were going to be there for each other, through everything. It took us nearly a year to figure out that we had both been crazy for each other for most of that time, and just hadn't had the nerve to open up that parts of ourselves to each other. But kissing you in that London pub was the best decision I've ever made. Followed closely by asking you to marry me.

As the thistle and the shamrock intertwine, so do our hearts and souls. Today, I vow to be your steadfast companion, as strong and enduring as the ancient stones of our homelands. I promise to cherish every moment with you, to hold you close in times of joy and sorrow, and to be your rock through all of life's challenges. I promise to listen with compassion, speak with kindness, and love you unconditionally. You are my best friend, my confidant, and my greatest love. Together, we have already created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the rich traditions of our heritage, and I promise to continue doing so, for our future family.

As I marry you, I embrace the untameable Irish spirit in you, knowing it drives me wonderfully crazy. Never stop being unapologetically yourself, for it is those very qualities that make me fall in love with you over and over again.

With what emotion, he’s not entirely sure. Hope maybe, but he thinks frustration is right behind it in line.
