I can't help but think Techno sometimes just picks up the bench trio (especially Tommy) and set them on top his back because spider instincts go BRRRRR after they begin to trust techno a bit more. Maybe dream does this to ranboo too when they start to become friends...

This is adorable and definitely something that happens when there is more trust between everyone. It happens the most with Techno doing it to Tommy.

It was terrifying the first time it happened because Techno did it with no warning. He just kinda grabbed Tommy and set him on his back before just going on with his day. Tommy wanted to stay scared, but it was difficult to with how warm and unusually soft it was here. He ended up getting comfortable enough to fall asleep.

Now it's a normal occurrence and Tubbo and Ranboo don't understand how Tommy is so comfortable with it, but as long as their friend is happy, they won't worry too much.

Combining the two since they're very similar! (Also sorry it took me so long to answer yours Zaud-)

So yeah! It starts off with Dream "hunting" Ranboo. The "hunting" has become a fun pastime now that Ranboo knows he's not in any danger now.

But then the human stumbles onto a strange burrow. I looked uncomfortably close to a drider nest so he tried backing away to leave but then a drider came out and immediately locked onto him, with a happy expression on her face.

Niki is beyond excited for a new human pet to protect her nest! After she scares off Dream she "introduces" Ranboo to Phil and Wilbur, who are extremely happy to see him again. They don't understand why Ranboo is so insistent on going back to get drider that was hunting him though. They chalked it up to Stockholm Syndrome and try helping him through it.

Niki ends up following Dream home and is shocked to see him go to Techno's nest. She is well aware of not to mess with the bigger drider. Techno is probably the person that Niki fears most, especially if he finds out about her humans.

But she still snoops around the nest and is surprised to find two younger humans, much like the one she just got, huddled together and looking at her absolutely terrified. It breaks her heart. Techno must've taken these poor boys for a future meal. She wasn't having it.

She goes to pick them up to whisk them to her burrow when Techno stops her angrily. She's further shocked when Techno demands "Dream's human" back as well. Dream's human? She glances to the smaller drider and sees how distraught he looks and how he looks at her angrily.

She leads the two driders to her burrow, Techno carrying the two tiny humans on his back. All five humans are shocked to see one another again, it's a tearful and happy reunion.

Oh my god, Tubbo is eating everything and anything he can get his hands on. Tommy and Ranboo are disgusted and try to stop him but can't. At least he's finding stuff to eat.

Techno is trying. And failing. He barely knows what humans eat so he struggles in getting them meals.

Awwww! I like that!

Phil and Wilbur don't even do much, she just randomly gives them little pats on the head with a finger. Sometimes, she'll scoop someone up and pet their backs and just give them lots of love. It happens to Wilbur more often, but he's also a bit more alright with it than Phil. Phil finds it really demeaning to be treated like a pet. Wilbur tries to reason with his dad and tell him that they aren't dead. Phil argues that this truly isn't much better.

A pit of confusion and growing terror fills Tommy’s head as the giant drider pulls a strand of silk from behind them. Warily, he watches them weave it through their fingers.

He glances at their face for any hints of what’s to come, and he only sees a growing, pearlescent grin along with a glint of something evil in their eye as they stare at the strand. They tug at the string a little, making the thin, white line fall to the ground. He anxiously watches it limply land on the floor.

Suddenly, the sharp feeling of being watched- scrutinized, really- grows in volume. His gaze flickers back to the drider in time to see them crawling towards him. He holds back a startled gasp, only limply crawling back to gain at least a few more precious seconds of freedom before he’s most likely going to be tightly grabbed.

To his relief, he’s not. But that only leaves him with a dreadful feeling. They’re planning something, and he has a feeling he’s about to find out soon enough.

They loom over him, easily towering over him. Their spidery legs stand dangerously close to him to his foreboding alarm. They could easily pierce him if the drider really wanted. They’ve already tried that fear tactic, though, and he’s pretty sure they’re not too keen on repeating that yet. Hopefully.

He gulps slightly in fear, watching them creep over him a little, their first pair of legs easily stretching over and past his form. They could so easily crush him with barely any effort.

His head tilts up and back to watch the long, spindly legs with unease. He’s so focused on that pair of limbs that he doesn’t see the drider’s second pair of legs stretching out for him until it’s too late.

He shouts out in dreaded surprise as he’s grabbed and hoisted slightly off of the ground. The drider only lowly chuckles at his scream.

He struggles, trying to fall out of the grasp. Before he can, though, the second to last spider legs spring towards him, bringing along a see-through, white-looking blanket with them.

This time, he can’t hold back a terror-stricken scream as he feels the sticky ‘blanket’ quickly wrap itself around the entirety of his body. He’s able to squirm a little, but it only lasts a second because the sticky substance coils around him again, and again until he’s unable to move. He screams out the drider’s name, begging them to stop before he cuts himself off, feeling the brushing sensation of the sticky, silky feeling hit the base of his neck.

He waits for the feeling to reach his head with a raggy, shaky breath, squeezing his eyes shut in terror. When nothing comes of it, he peeks an eye open to see that only the rest of his body is still being cocooned in the spider silk.

He feels like he’s going to throw up.

It’s not the first time he’s felt that, and he doubts it’s going to be the last.

:( Dream didn’t even know what he did wrong - it’s not his fault that they all normally eat, and play with, humans. If Techno didn’t care about Tommy, and his friends and family by extension, then legit nothing would’ve changed, they’d still be friends! At least tell the man why you stopped being friends Techno wtf, you can’t just drop the man, and threaten to eat him, for doing something you both do whenever you want!

Techno, who has tortured and hurt Tommy just for the fun of it: We aren’t friends anymore.

Dream, who was just hunting/playing like he normally does: Wha-

Stop being a hypocrite Techno

Here, I'll try to explain it a bit better.

Techno basically attempted to do a 180 in his behavior. He's trying really hard to be better towards Tommy, with no explanation towards anyone. Techno doesn't communicate well with others, he's not great at expressing his thought process. This is what makes him a hypocrite towards Dream.

But, Dream is also unaware that Techno has human(s) of his own. Dream does not know about Tommy or Tubbo. He doesn't even know about Niki having Phil and Wilbur. Really, he thinks that Techno just wanted his human as a snack. He thinks Techno hasn't has a successful hunt in a while and is just hangry, which is probably why he threatened to eat Dream. Dream in unaware of the real reason Techno is doing this, which makes this very terrifying to him.

And Techno, once again, is not communicating his feelings and thought process properly, leading to this rather terrifying miscommunication.
