#webackinsession Men Moving Forward is a free healthy lifestyle program for African-American men who have completed treatment for prostate cancer in the previous six months. As a part of this study, participants will join a 16-week study, either in a group class setting or waitlisted that allows men to progress on their own timetable. Participants receive twice-weekly exercise programs, as well as nutritional education, monthly group cooking classes, and supportive text messages. Men in the waitlisted group join the group exercise at the end of the program. Men Moving Forward is part of a research study conducted by the Medical College of Wisconsin in partnership with Milwaukee Recreation. The goal of the study is to understand how different kinds of lifestyle programs benefit African-American prostate cancer survivors. The impetus for the program was a lack of support for African-American prostate cancer survivors in the area. Not only does this study create more equity around the community, it allows participants to meet like-minded people and find their energy again. #menmovingforward (at Marshall High School) https://www.instagram.com/p/CD67eqUn0fM/?igshid=n292r9s0ylcp
