Remember not to *hotlink images from other websites and always credit art/graphics/code/etc to the website you received them from! If you have a lot to credit for, I recommend making a page dedicated to it and using notepad/sticky notes to hold on to urls. While we’re all nostalgic for the old ways, we should also be better and more supportive to creators. A lot of creators from way back when disappeared off the web entirely for a mix of lack of time and not being recognized for their work. There are still popular anime images shared on tumblr that I see without credit. When possible I try to add credit links myself.

I get using it on job networking sites like LinkedIn. That makes sense.

But Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram? This is the Thunderdome. You need a nom de plume. Or nom de gurre, as it were.

Just a friendly reminder that I don’t like it when people use my blog as their opinion dumpster. It’s emotionally tiring and makes me feel unsafe here. Be thoughtful towards the other bloggers when you send your messages. Never send mail that criticizes the blogger as a person. That’s just unacceptable.

Anons, have you considered:

If you can’t even say something using your tumblr username and icon, maybe it’s better not say that thing at all?

Or if you wouldn’t say it in real life with your name and face, you shouldn’t say it anonymously on web either. Otherwise it’s just very cowardly behavior plus unfair to the receiving end.

Also, before sending messages to people you don’t know, maybe you should think first is it a good idea. Most anon messages I have received are sent less than minutes after I have posted something so that just shows that those people haven’t thought much of the consequences of their actions. Count to ten at least!

I would also like to remind everyone that I’m not a native English speaker even though I’m quite fluent at it. However, I do not know all the words and slang words. So don’t cling to every word I say, it’s not nice to be petty. And maybe consider getting a more outdoorsy, healthier hobby than overanalysing people’s tags if you tend to do that, hehe. If you don’t like my blog, simply don’t read it.
