it's a face i saw everyday. the more i look, the more unfamiliar it feels. since when was it? when he, who used to have a straight face, started joking around with me? while playing soccer with friends, when i felt that he was looking at me? that short silence. the way he was looking. that hot weather around lunch. did i eat something wrong?

Honestly I was in a bl-drama slump(? idk if this is a correct explanation but yeah) and Our Dining Table came to me like ''oh... i'm your savior'' its turns out they certainly were.

I'm definetly a slice-of life eater. Plus cooking- theme lover. How perfect can a drama be?

Yukata (ehehe)'s life looks simple from the outside yet he has traumas from his childhood and thats making him making him prevent eating with others. And two beautiful brothers making him welcome to their table. (and this is going to be found-familyish theme ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL TROPE) PERFECT! PERFECT!

I want to talk a lot about it, but on the one hand, I can't put my words together.

I love everything about this show so far but I like this most; how they give the message ''Most important thing is We are together, and We can enjoy our meals no matter what situtation is...''

UGH I know what you mean - I've been like this all month!

I was picky before, but now with the pandemic just well - existing, I've been super picky and grumpy about what I'm watching too.

You might have already tried this, but I find I'm less annoyed with Web Dramas. They are too short to be bothered by, and the plots are just so simple.

Try These Web Dramas: (and heads up there are a lot of baby beginner actors & idols so no awards will be won, but they'll all be cute)

I call it poetic justice. Tbh I was never fond of Jojo's character. She already had a boyfriend when SunOh kissed her(and she kissed back). Looked romantic on screen,but in a way it was cheating. But she decided to go with the flow,given she had family issues and SunOh made her happy. She kept going with the flow.....till she decided to give up on him.

Let's return to why I called this poetic justice. Regardless of his genuine feelings or the pain from heartbreak, he DID go after the girl he KNEW his friend liked. HE BROKE THE BRO CODE FIRST.

In fact, Hye Young was generous enough to overlook all and in the end, I was rooting for him only.

However, I hope Song Kang manages to end up with the FL in his acting project someday.

I miss my run on babies!

Netflix finally delivering a good romcom/slice of life - it’s a miracle and I’m living! Web dramas probably won’t be as satisfying as Run On, but they’re super fun and short. Plus, I love when they’re low budget...for some reason it’s really fun to watch that. 

Great Web Dramas:

Gaduri Sushi: A cute web drama (now on viki!) about a tarot reading sushi restaurant owner who gets a new neighbor. It’s funny and sweet and the angst is very low.

XX: A girl power web drama about a bartender who lovers her job but ends up working for her ex best friend. It’s got a mellow and unique vibe for a k-drama (I’m pretty sure it’s inspired by Search: WWW), the romance is soft AND she has a gay best friend.

Kiss Goblin: This is a short web drama (now on viki!) featuring a Goblin who has to earn emotions in order to become human. It’s a bit silly and low budget but I love the leads together - the goblin is so so sweet; he’s my favorite web drama actor. There is a little angst but because it’s a web drama it lasts literally 10 minutes.

Have a Nice Dessert: If you’re looking for low angst and a super soft boy, this is your drama!! It’s a web drama about a girl who loves photographing desserts and the boy who likes her.  Like all web dramas, it’s short, and there’s really no time for angst and breakups :)

Where Your Eyes Linger: A super cute BL web drama about a boy who is hired to be his friend’s body guard. There is a lot of tension and pining, and I fell in love with the stories pacing and the chemistry between the two leads. Still my favorite Korean BL.

The Best Ending:  An adorable rom com about a couple who’s strapped for cash but wants to get married. I watched this because Lee Do Hwa (Jung Gun Joo) from Extraordinary You is in it and I just love him! 

Gogh The Starry Night: A fun and silly show about a girl working at a design firm, surrounded by potential boyfriend material. It’s pretty trope-y but I found myself liking it anyways! I think this one is also on youtube.

Mr. Heart: This is a pretty silly BL drama, but I enjoyed it! The grumpy one falls for the sunshine one and the sunshine one is so so sweet. Not perfect, but a quick watch.
