Day 669 (1 Year, 304 Days): https://youtu.be/KI6ZVqF8xyg…
Artist: Mako Song: Let Go Of The Wheel (WE ARE FURY "Fury" Remix)
Genre: Future Bass Label: Ultra Music
(Sunday) It's been a long time since I've seen Mako's name, but I'm glad that he's still making new music and getting remixed! I haven't heard of Fury before, but he landed onto Illenium's remix album and this track is solid.
Looking this song up on Beatport, it clocks in at 165 bpm, which is really fast; to give some context, psytrance falls in the 138-145 bpm and happy hardcore falls around 150 bpm. This made me think that maybe Beatport messed up and analyzed the track incorrectly and should be half of that, 84.5 bpm, or my knowledge about future bass music is still lacking.
In either case, Fury did an amazing job on the remix, giving an Illenium vibe when I first listened to the track, and using vocal chops during the drops at 1:20, a production technique that I love.
Big room is on the decline and today's mainstream music is trap and future bass, mixed in with hip hop. And because of these trends, there are a lot of low quality tracks being pumped out, but there will always be the gems that I have no problem listening to and covering.
Today is Day 3 of Coachella and remember to look out for and help each other out, and HAVE FUN! I'll see guys at Porter & Madeon, Hans Zimmer, New Order, and Justice!
