I'm leaving for a weekend bachelor party trip tomorrow. There's gonna be tons of games, challenges, a whole menu is planned and purchased, christ, there's even 3D printed trophies that you can win over the course of the weekend. It's going to be really nice. Why am I venting about it here?
Well, a month ago we all got the info that the weekend was planned. And by that, the grooms brother meant that he had booked a chalet in the mountains.
That's it. 10 straight dudes + yours truly in a hut on a mountain. No plans, no ideas, that's it. Outside of ski season, before hiking season, smack in the middle of "everything is closed" season. Food? Chili on day one, Bolognese on day two (all while the groom is an avid home cook and has done multiple cooking courses). A vague notion that "we should also probably get drinks".
I quote the "best man" and "organiser" of this weekend getaway: "Well I'm bad at organising these things, and I asked {Groom} if he's okay if it's something chill and basic and he said it's fine."
"...he said it's fine." - that part of the interaction was held on to harder than Gollum clutching the ring. Did it occur to him that the groom didn't really have a possibility to say it wasn't fine without causing a scene? No. Did the groom when asked immediatelly respond with "it's fine, but I wouldn't mind something more special!"? Yes. To be continued because I am too tired to keep raging now.
I just can't listen to men on social media be it about fitness, time management, food, relationships. After 2 sentences it becomes clear how heavily they depend on women for everything. A man living on easy mode is in no position to lecture about something as serious and important as time management.
