So in love with my new tattoo. Thank you so much @richregal740 for the pain. GABBA GABBA HEY! #weacceptyou (at Modified Studios Tattoo Gallery) https://www.instagram.com/p/BocvgbtAuBb/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=10mrtn801qz3h
I know this is a long one and kind of rambling but it’s v important
I’m not saying that having a silent un-accepting parent is worse than having one that clearly doesn’t accept lgbt but it almost is. It’s damaging to have a parent who might say that they are fine with lgbt people but wouldn’t be fine with you being a part of that group. It hurts and makes you feel like you can’t tell them because they wouldn’t say it but it would be clear that they wouldn’t love you anymore. My sister dated a girl in middle school and my mom forbid her to stay friends with her. And being a ftm who isn’t out yet is so hard. I’m mortified to tell her and i can’t do anything to help myself. It makes it worse when things that would bring you closer to being yourself are shot down. I can’t ask for a short haircut without my mom saying that i would be chopping all my hair off and i would look dumb. Words that shouldn’t hurt create such a deep blow. “what happened to my little girl who i could do her hair and dress up?” It just hurts so bad to feel like i can’t confide in someone so vital in my life. It hurts even worse to think that saying how i’ve felt for the past three years would be pushed off as me being too young and going through a phase. How can i feel comfortable if i have to wait until im considered mature and grown up enough to be able to tell how i feel about something as personal as that and it’s all someone else’s decision on the matter. I just hurt so much for all those kids who can’t even say anything about it because their parents appear to accept lgbt. And i want everyone to know that there are people out there who are willing to accept and love you. Don’t think that you’re too young or that someone else’s opinion should keep you from feeling comfortable to be yourself.
I AM SO EMOTIONALLY FUCKED UP
