the sangdon trauma scene is crazy because it’s exactly like what happened in s1. she makes mistakes and he corrects them and she is incapable of not taking that personally. i think “i’m happy to teach dr santos” WAS a jab at her, but she is outwardly provoking w eye rolls and muttering under her breath and “that was a med student question” and “i’m sure with your vast experience you know better” and he doesn’t take the bait. i think s1 langdon would have crashed out but he’s genuinely trying to be respectful and be a better mentor for her. and you can see this in the last episode too, cos he tries to tell her good job on the injection she did and he also did not take the bait during “wanna guess the blood alcohol” gate. i think even after an apology and if they have a heart to heart they will never be able to be ~besties because even with growth and healing they just genuinely get on each others nerves like no one else is able to
