she felt dizzy, hoping to pass out to get out of this conversation that she managed to get herself into. this wasn’t how she thought this conversation was going to turn out to be. she lived her entire life thinking her parents were drunks, druggies or some other fucked up possibility. it worked out well that way because at least then she had an excuse for being the way she is right now. but instead, some rich guy who has had everything comes into his life, telling her they were siblings. and there was no way in hell his parents could be some millionaires if they were half as fucked up as she had thought her parents would be. ayla held her bottom lip between her teeth, biting down hard enough for blood to surface to hold her tears. she couldn’t cry, not in front of him - not in front of the one person who has done nothing but change her world in just a few words. she listened to him as he apologies, as he explained what he would do if he could back time. her small frame shook lightly as her vision got glassier. she shut her eyes, taking a deep breath trying to calm herself down. “i have to go,” she whispered, pushing past the guy and running to her car where she started the engine and got out as fast as she could. paying no attention to her surroundings, she managed to find her way driving to the guy who preoccupied most her thoughts. the guy she swears she’s in love with, but also the same guy who walked into her house drunk, yelling; however, even after that memory flashed into her mind, she still found herself driving in his driveway. trembling as she stood in front of his door, she hesitantly knocked on the door, trying to keep herself collected but as soon as he opened the door, she found herself whimpering weakly, “karim.”
