Gatekeeper - Feist Even though this is considered a summer album, it’s giving me those warm November feelings. November has become one of my favorite months for its blend of autumnal spice and Christmas glow. Everything’s simmering, soft, full of jazz, bottomless mugs, sparkling champagne. This will go on my list of November-feeling records. It’s so smooth, and I want sentimental makeshift bouquets of white roses in wine bottles with charming bespoke labels. This album makes me feel like I’ve acquired something so special! I’ve listened to a few tracks by Feist over the years, loved them, but never really got around to listening to Let It Die. I remember when Mushaboom released years ago, and I was at a completely different place musically than I am now so I passed it over. When I started to see quite a few ecstatic posts about this collectors edition reissue, I thought I’d revisit this one, and boy did the snippets make me excited!
