PART 2

(Okay I’m super sorry that this is only the first three, I’m gonna be pretty busy all weekend and I wanted to get something out before then. Part 2 with Muriel, Portia, and Lucio will come in a few days! Plus - to make up for splitting this post - maybe one of the other minor characters like Valerius if y'all would wanna see that idk.)

Oh yes yes yes yes! Hell yes, I am a huge slut for some wholesome injury/sick headcanons lmao. Here we go!

Asra

Well there’s brief look into how Arsa would react in this scenario in first chapter of The Hanged Man in his route (you heal his split lip and he basically spends the whole ordeal flirting with you and trying to get a kiss out of you anyway)

But to elaborate, even for more slightly more serious or painful injuries he would still probably keep a pretty calm and even playful demeanor

He would definitely still be sweet talking you the whole time because 1) he just loves to flirt with you in general like the adorable cheeky little bastard he is, and 2) he wouldn’t want you to be too worried about him, so he would do it to take the edge off

After you’re done patching him up/healing him, he would just straight up say something along the lines of “Ohhh I don’t know, it still hurts a just little. Perhaps you could kiss it better?” followed by a wink

He would be a little floored when you actually kissed the wound though since he didn’t 100% expect you to really do it

He’d just chuckle, blush slightly and kiss you back while calling you his hero

Nadia

She doesn’t usually like it when people fuss over her, but for you it’s an entirely different story

While you took care of her injury she would simply sit back quietly and let you do your work while giving you an affectionate smile

When you’re just about done she would start to thank you before stopping mid sentence as you leaned down to kiss her patched wound

She would just kinda look at you in pleased bewilderment and blink before asking you what that was for

When you explain to her that it was meant to make her feel better/heal faster, she would start to laugh before pulling you into a tight embrace

She’d kiss your face several times while telling you how adorable you are and how grateful she is to have you in her life  

Julian

Oy. First of all you’re gonna have the challenge getting this man to sit down long enough for you to patch him up. He’s a doctor after all! He should be able to handle his own injuries!

He would try and slink off to handle himself, but you would follow him and insist that he not strain himself any further until he finally gives in within a minute or two

He would be unusually quiet for a few moments as he considers telling you that there isn’t any need to fuss over him like this, but he knows better than that by now

Instead he would just allow himself to enjoy the sweet intimacy of the moment and let a soft laugh escape as the tension falls from his shoulders, he might even make a funny quip at what a terrible patient he is

He blinks owlishly and a touch of red rises to his cheeks when you kiss his wound, but he can’t help but smile like a fool a moment later and kiss you back in gratitude

Asra

Okay so everyone knows that Asra has a pretty bad case of Sleepy Bitch Disease himself so he would totally be down to just laze around with you

But even if he was drowsy himself, he would happily take care of any chores that may need to be done while you relax because he wants you to get the rest you deserve

Occasionally he would pause to check on you, kiss your forehead and ask if you needed anything before going back to his work

Afterwards he would make you both some tea and sidle up next to you by the window as you both watched the rain come down outside

If the two of you managed not to fall asleep right the and there, you would both head upstairs after tea and snuggle in bed under a pile of blankets

If he’s spooning you he’d definitely be the Big Spoon whether you’re taller than him or not, so he could pepper your neck and shoulders with gentle kisses until the sound and feel of his soft breathing puts you to sleep

If you’re not spooning then he likes to face you so that he can gently trace the lines of your face with his fingers, wondering how he got so lucky as you both drift off

Muriel

I would imagine that his hut requires a little bit of maintenance whenever it rains so that the roof doesn’t leak too badly

You would probably be in the middle of helping him, both of you working in comfortable silence before he starts to notice that you’re a bit out of it

He probably wouldn’t even say anything, he’d just scoop you up and take you over by the fireplace and tell you that he’d take care of the rest

He’d gesture for Inanna to come over and lay her head in your lap to keep you company for him while he finishes

He would try and work quickly so that he could finally go take you in this big strong arms, hold you close and lay in bed with you

He’s gone so long without the warmth of another person, so now literally nothing makes him feel more at peace than the soft warmth of your body pressed against his chest

Even with the crack of thunder outside, the sound of his heartbeat has you out like a light in no time

Lucio

Listen this man is the biggest attention hoe on the planet and doesn’t tire easily himself (when he’s not sick) so to be honest he might try to keep you awake for a bit longer just because he wants to spend more time with you

He’d have servants bring you both anything you wanted and do most of (if not all of) the talking while you occasionally nod off leaning against his shoulder

Finally he’d reluctantly give in and take you to bed, and although he might grumble about it a little he’d still make sure you were as comfy as possible by gathering all of his best sheets and pillows for you

He’d crawl in bed with you and whisper sweet nothings, occasionally slipping in a more risque comment between kisses and ear nibbles

When you both finally manage to drift off, the two of you sleep halfway into the next day

Hell yes! 

Honestly I didn’t know how much I needed more Valerius content in my life until recently.

This man is no doubt used to waking up with hangovers, but some mornings are far worse than others

Most days when he’s hungover he will just have moderate headache and be a little unsteady on his feet for a little while

When it’s particularly bad he’s groaning, sweating, clutching his pounding head, and flinching at the sunlight peaking through the curtains

He seems almost surprised when you roll over in bed to kiss his aching temples

You start to gently shush him and run your fingers through his long hair, he calms down almost immediately

You kiss him again, get out of bed and tell him that you’ll be right back with a potion that will make feel better

He weakly reaches after you and whines not to leave him here alone like this, but you give him one last reassurance of your return and leave the room

When you return about ten minutes later you’d find him curled up in bed, still groaning in pain while hugging your pillow to his chest for comfort

After a few seconds he’d notice your presence, flush deep red and frown before asking you what took you so damn long

You bite your lip to hold back a laugh, help him slowly sit up, bring the hangover remedy brew to lips and make him drink

Relief gradually spreads throughout his whole body and he sighs contently as his aches and nausea ease

With renewed energy, he gives you a peculiar smile and suddenly pulls you down on top of him to bring you in for a deep kiss

When you break apart you rest your foreheads together and he asks you what in the world would he do without you?

Muriel

There’s already an in-game example of the patching up/healing scenario for Muriel in his first book, BUT it is behind a paywall and things would likely be much different after he really learned to trust you

He would probably still try to patch himself up at first, but when you insist on helping him he doesn’t bother to try and protest anymore since he is more willing to accept that he deserves to be treated gently

He would quietly watch you work, his heart would still be pounding there would still be a bright flush to his cheeks but more-so out of fondness for you rather than out of embarrassment this time

Once he’s all patched up you would probably ask him “Want me to kiss it better?” instead of just kissing him straight away

He would be completely floored, his blush would reach his shoulders and he would stutter out a quiet acceptance of your offer but he would be smiling softly the whole time

If the wound ends up scarring it doesn’t bother him as much as it used to, especially since this one will be a memory of you

Portia

Honestly if she got hurt she would probably show you her wound proudly like it was a battle scar and would explain what fun/reckless thing she had just done to get it (like climbing up the castle wall or scoping out for more secret passageways)

It would be pretty easy to convince her to let you patch her up since she thinks that it’s a really sweet gesture 

The whole time that you’re treating her she would playfully tell you that you worry about her too much and it’ll take more than a couple of scratches or bruises to keep her down

She would get a little giggly and blushy when you kissed her and would ask you for another one juuuuust to be sure

She’d point to other random spots on her body saying that she had a bruise or ache there as well (even if she didn’t) just to get more kisses out of you

If you wanna make her blush even more, put your finger on her lips and say “does it hurt here too?”

Lucio

He would be more concerned about his blood ruining his clothes than the injury itself, so it would be matter of getting him to stop fussing so that you can fix him up

If you hadn’t offered to patch him he probably would have just straight up told you to help him, but he’s a little caught off guard when you rush to his aide right away

People showing genuine concern for him - and not just parroting back his own self praise - is still pretty new to him so he doesn’t really know how to handle it at first

He might pretend to act annoyed or even insulted that you would insinuate that a small flesh wound was enough to affect him but it’s just his weird way of saying “thank you”

Kissing his wound would definitely be the best and fastest way to shut him up

He finally blushes and cracks a smile when you give him a little victorious smirk and tell him that he should definitely make a full recovery now

Valerius

Despite his temper he usually keeps a cool head when you’re around, so if he broke his wine glass in his hand in front of you he would probably be in the middle of ranting about the incompetence of the rest of the courtiers or something of the like

He would be clutching his wrist with his other undamaged hand and swearing at the pain but he would calm down a bit the second you came to his side

You would probably have to keep reminding him to sit still while you carefully removed each piece of glass from his hand

He might still be grumbling a bit as you bandage him up, but then he would suddenly feel your lips on his fingers and look up to see you kissing him softly

Since the broken glass gave him several cuts you’d kiss his fingers first, then the back of his hand, and then his palm and he would get redder and redder with each one
